Karl you are so lucky to team up with Brent on this build, he is a magician when building custom applications for trucks cars ,hot rods ,you name it. I watched you fabricate the hinge and frame for this truck and you are surely top quality. I will watch this build to see your ideas become reality. Thanks to both of you for having us along, Stu in Ontario..............

Awesome to see Esther and Brent in Karl’s shop collaborating this is going to be exciting . I’m taking a guess here. I’d like to commend Esther on her camera work and I’m guessing again her drone filming skills and if I’m right, quite the humble achiever. Love your cab over concept Karl and if I’ve spelt your name wrong my apologies.

If you are worried about filling the front fenders, use an adapter (if necessary) to mount up a semi super single on the front on each side. A super single is basically the same width as a pair of dually rear tires mounted on a single rim, sort of like the same width as a drag racing slick. You could do that front and rear if you wanted it to match on both ends, and it should have no trouble carrying fairly heavy loads on back.

It needs either air, hydraulic, or electric actuators to lift the cab. I used air to lift my combination engine cover, tool box, spare tire storage. Mine is an Econoline pickup cab project where I built my own chassis with the engine behind the cab. With the big 19" 10 bolt wheel for a spare it is to heavy for a person to safely lift.

Those frame horns are impressive! The fact that you drew them up and went straight to .25 Steel is awesome! I always cut everything out of cardboard first and make sure my drawing was good before I go to steel. My wife has an x-tool laser so I have that option. That cardboard first idea has saved me a lot of money in screw ups in my drawings. Another great video! Thanks again! Really digging this build!!!!! 🔥

Truck washes for semi trucks here in Oklahoma have something similar that they spray on the wheels and fuel tanks that eats off all the grease and road grime and makes them shine like new. No idea what they use but I've pulled a semi truck or two into some of these truck washes off of the Interstates and had a company truck cleaned before. Man it makes the truck look awesome!

I've been making a C8000 Ford cab over into a rollback for about a year and seeing that cab outside at your shop in a video had me excited to see the build. I'm a poor city employee so things go slow. If you open the doors it helps lower the raising weight. Your channel and Halfass has been two of my favorites for a couple of years. Good luck and thanks for.this build.

By golly it looks as though you guys have this build figured out. I would have been surprised if not. It is a pleasure watching such great talent. Speaking of talent I was having breakfast at a resturant in Portland and there was a gray '46, I think, Ford sedan parked out front. I found out who owned it and struck up a conversation. It was Lee from L&C. Great guy. I don't know what it is about you guys from Canada but it is always my pleasure talking and learning from you. AWESOME… When you were doing the welds I was thinking.. that’s how I would have maybe done it ..but it seemed so sketchy… then again if it was me welding it would have been sketchy. You’ve really smashed out the fabrication and welding regards the bumper/steering box mounts another episode where I have learned more than a ‘thing’ and an inspiration to all fabricators(I’m not really a fabricator, I melt stuff and cry) Great collaboration with Brent off now to ‘sub’ to his Channel..
