I love the segment at about the 11:20 mark of Timber. What a great dog to have on the trail!

He's changed a bit since then. Now when we stop, he knows he can lay down a catch a cat nap. He would fight it when he was a pup.

Looked like a tough trek, but sure seemed worth it. Gorgeous view! And certainly can’t beat that lunch spot, very nice. Thanks for bringing us along! Always a good time

We pushed ourselves a bit on this trip. We learned a lot and also learned that we can do it, and probably more! Thanks for watching!

Another excellent video. You have two good trail partners there. The music is perfect for this video. Thanks for sharing and take care, Al

I am very lucky. This trail was a test for us both and I am happy to say that she killed it! It was the most elevation gain we did on any single trip this year and we were moving nearly all of the time. Thanks for watching!

My wife and I very much enjoy your videos, we hike some of the same areas and can commiserate with trails petering out! I've found that I've had better luck with the on x phone app than my Garmin for some areas. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures! That North fork country is steep and thick and wonderful. I hold it partially responsible for my moving to this area.

Thank you! It's great to hear from another hiker who walks these trails. This can be some tough country to get through if you have to get off trail, but I love it!

I love these videos. I live in the CDA area. I’ve spent a lot of time up there.

Have you been up on that trail? it doesn't get much use even by North Idaho standards. I've never run into anyone on that trail. It is worth doing though!

Great video! It is no fun hiking in the heat uphill. At least you had some shade!

Interesting hike. That bushwhacking at the beginning looked rough!
@mountainwanderer4 жыл бұрын
It was rough! If you look closely you can see me collecting debris on my head as we pushed our way up the hill.

Nice trip. Thanks for sharing. Bushwacking can be an ordeal in that part of the intermountain area with a lot of brush and downfall. More comments on HF.

I enjoyed this video and I thank you for sharing it. I saw lots of bear grass but it was not in bloom. Shouldn't it have been in full bloom in mid July? I LOVE bear grass when it is blooming!
@mountainwanderer4 жыл бұрын
I've read that it doesn't necessarily bloom every year.

Do you ever have issues with vandalism or car burglary when you are hiking and leave your car unattended for days?
@mountainwanderer4 жыл бұрын
Luckily I haven't had any issues yet. I think that has to do with the places I go more than anything. There just are not that many people out there.
