These parents that CHOOSE to move away from their kids and then complain about lack of visitation or suddenly come back and demand all this extra time are infuriating. You don't get to come and go as you please.
@jaggirl6 ай бұрын
I somewhat agree. But what about the mothers who move away and take the children? It affects the dad/childrens time. I think when that happens, the mother should be financially responsible for the extra costs incurred. Unless the father says otherwise. Sometimes, jobs can take you further away, and you dont have much of a choice. Although that father was a piece of work. I do hear you. 🌻 You cant come and go as you please and make demands.
@stephwiller90896 ай бұрын
@@jaggirl That is a different matter. I'm more commenting on the parent that moves away. Though if the other parent tries to move the kids away I would argue the courts will usually stop that if you file to block it. The courts can determine how far away you are allowed to move from the other parent, unless the parties agree to it.

Why is it that nobody can put the child FIRST!! Boys that age definitely need their fathers. If not they grow up and use emotion to run their lives. And of course they wanna stay with mom, 🙄 they get to do whatever they want!!
@MadMoxxxi664 ай бұрын
@@monicag75this is a very presumptuous take on the matter, so being raised by a woman makes men emotionally unstable? The child does deserve time with father, he also has a schedule, routine& has been primarily with his mom. Just throwing him in a completely different routine/home life half the time, with no gradual ease into it, is very stressful for kids, no matter the future positive outcome.
@robmartin47753 ай бұрын
@@MadMoxxxi66actually most societies (besides post modern) would disagree with you. In nearly all myths, legends, and societies, the first step for a boy to enter into manhood is to separate from their mother. That was the entire point of the apoge from Sparta. For a more modern take, Robert Bly’s book Iron John does a very good job of explaining the psychology behind this practice. Not saying that single mothers are incapable of raising sons, but the role of a father can truly only be taught by a male.

Regarding child support, a long time ago when mothers still owned the children and fathers were expected to move out and pay up and maybe see the kids every other weekend at best, I knew a mom who made a deal with her ex for zero child support. Her reasons were that she made more money and did not actually need her ex' support but would rather have him use his would be child support to show their son a good time when he had him. Goes to show that it is possible to have an amicable relationship with your ex and put the kids first. Of course if he'd blown all his money on smoking glue, she might have changed her mind.

Unless the mother is abusive which it appears she is not, custody needs to stay with mom. She sounds like a very stable and emotionally-supportive mom. A girl in this situation needs her mom. Also sounds like dad is disconnected from his child’s needs. His solution is to make her go to school? He mentions nothing about understanding his daughter’s conditions.
