The X100V continues to impress me. Personally, I can't see myself upgrading to the X100VI. I agree with you, the only Fuji camera I would definitely buy is if they ever come out with a monochrome. I'm not sure how they would work the film simulation in to a monochrome, but just having the in-camera b&w filters is all I need. Thanks Jay for this info. 👍

It would be cool to see if Fujifilm could make faithful representations of fan favourite BnW films like Ilford hp5 or Kodak tri-x or tmax

The big thing on a GR4 for me, frankly is battery life. The 3's was hot garbage, so I'm hoping for some improvment there. And obviously great weather sealing would be fantastic as well. Give it a flash too.

You can't fight physics though. Unless they make the side grip a bit larger to accommodate a thicker battery, which I actually don't mind as long as the jump doesn't protrude past the retracted lens height. I've come to terms with not having a flash on the GR, just get a compact external one

I would also buy a monochrome X100 but until then, I’m with you and will keep my V! 📷😄

Have you found anything about a griv ? I can’t find anything ; I know they went live today in Japan but I don’t think they released anything .

Apparently that was just a routine social event in japan. Still no solid info about the GR unfortunately, just have to be patient and trust. I also don't think it's smart to announce a new GR so close to Fuji's massively hyped x100vi... As much as I wanted them to, from a marketing perspective that wouldn't have been a smart move.

@@JayRegular yeah that’s what i gathered ; I converted a full page of Japanese to English of the event . Do you think a new gr might happen in 2024 . ; I had the griii a couple ago but got rid of it because it drove me crazy . Now I miss having a pocket cam and that niche is a black hole of research ranging from early Sony to a bunch of m43 camera then the Ricoh . I really hated the battery and the af on the Ricoh when I had it . But now that I have 2 a7iv’s and an x100v I think it would be a great edition lol

@@JayRegular I had one of the first pre-orders for the x100vi that I actually put in a year ago but after I saw the updates idk I just love my V so much so I gave my pre order to a friend .

Love you channel.The battery door on my x100v has broken. The plastic tab snapped. Can find parts anyway, any ideas anyone

The only thing I can think of is to use some heavy duty tape with a plastic tab to cover up the space where the door used to be

IBIS and improved autofocus would be very welcomed, but not for 2k+

I agree, but at this point, I don't think there really is much of a choice if you are in the market for an X100 camera 😅
