I belong to a women’s group and our coach said she would make lists with pros and cons, reduce to two choices, then flip a coin. She would assign each choice either heads or tails, but regardless of what came up on the coin flip, her intuition ultimately made the final decision. It is a very interesting concept, and one we clearly need to trust. ☺️

Oh I know Sechelt, the Gamma Phi Sorority owned a piece of property just north of town where they ran a summer camp for underprivileged children from Vancouver. I spent many summers first as a counselor then as the camp director. It was a lovely area.

Speaking as a Campbell Riverite, I think you have made a great decision. You have the beauty and peace that is Black Creek, the Oyster River is a lovely river with great swimming holes. Also, you have a docter's office, groceries, gas, liquor and hardware store nearby. Your two closest beaches, Miracle and Saratoga are very beautiful and popular. Close to the Comox airport too, which has direct flights to Calgary, Victoria and beyond. Enjoy.

I am delighted that you have found a new place for your home. I just relalized that this video was published a month ago, so you may have already moved andfi settled in. About a month ago my computer self-destructed - most likely from old age, but I was lucky to find a Hewlett Packard laptop, with all sorts of capabilities, not only at a good price, but on sale. I'm still getting use to it. The only problem I have is I can't seem to get the hang of the touch pad; so I'll be checking out a new compatible mouse. Any ways, I've missed keeping up with you. Adelina, I think in one of your early videos you said there are always solutions to a problem. It's a matter of finding the *right* solution. Seeing the big smile on your face while talking about the place you chose speaks volumes about the right solution for you. 😃 My only concern for you is the internet connection for your work. I've seen other KZbinrs talk about Starlink, and it seems the signal is sporadic depending on where you live. I know you will do the research and find the best option. So glad you did not choose the Gabriela Island location because I have a friend who went their a few years ago in hopes of retiring but after a few months went elsewhere because like you said it was a very hippie type community and she felt very uncomfortable at her age to be among them. I am sorry you have to move from your beautiful spot, but Black Creek area is lovely. Having lived from Victoria to Campbell River, you can't beat Vancouver Island. With the new-ish Inland Highway it is a breeze to get to Victoria, but the Ocean road is just the best. We traveled that so often with my ex's aunt and uncle living on the Tsable River and next to the Denman Ferry we always had a place to stop and visit. Good luck with your move and Sophie will think that van ride is a breeze. Donna

Welcome to the neighbourhood! What a small world, I have been following you shortly since you started your journey and who knew you’d end up in the same town as myself (although I am soon putting my place up for sale and moving). I think you’ll love the area with it’s nature and lots of places to explore. You’ll be surprised to see the great selection of vegan food in our little Discovery foods grocery store … some of the best vegan cheeses for less than the bigger markets too. I am probably a three minute drive from where you’re moving and I have Shaw internet without any issues, except for the odd power outages. Take care

This is awesome. This is such a huge difference in tone/vibe from your porch video a few weeks ago when you shared the move dilemma to start with. Very happy this whole thing is off your shoulder, which makes me genuinely happy for you. Black Creek sounds like the place to be. It’s nice to see the Adelina we often see here…bubbly, upbeat, cheerful and the loveliest, best smile on the Internet. And, yes…sweet Sophie will have a new home with a new view and sounds to enjoy. We all love her too. Two hours up the road will be far less in on her than two days across two provinces, two time zones, a long ferry ride, etc. Little snowman eyes will be just fine. I think you made the right call, and it’s interesting how the “right” choice on paper, going by the numbers, isn’t always automatically the “winner”. There is indeed that “gut factor”, where emotions and hunches play a part and you can’t get too scientific or analytical/mathematical about that. You overrode TWO sites the numbers said to go for, but you knew they weren’t right for YOU. That’s interesting, telling stuff. Best of luck with the actual move in the coming weeks. Hope your friends can come up and, as they did in Calgary, help you pack and get everything secured, stowed and road-ready. We all look forward to new videos with new backgrounds/scenery in the coming months. Yes, not having to worry about another knock on the door from a city/county bureaucrat with a clipboard and citing rules/codes can’t be measured or understated. You just know you can’t turn around and go through this uprooting, disruptive (and expensive) hassle again, so Black Creek it is. With all those factors and concerns in place, you made the right call for your current situation, needs, concerns. You seem so happy and relieved and it’s great to see!! Best of luck in all the prep and scheduling work left to do, but at least you know you’ve got a place to move to and you aren’t gonna get tossed in bylaw jail or living in some “in between” state to avoid further trouble. I’m very happy you were able to smartly, methodically work the problem, which is what you do, to find a new, nice place for you and sweet Sophie. As others here have said over the past few weeks, one door closes, others (better ones?) sometimes open up. You turned this pile of lemons into the biggest pitcher of lemonade I could possibly imagine. Well, I’ve jabbered enough for any 5-10 people here. Congrats on the decision-making and solid, happy progress...and here’s to to next month going exactly as you need/hope it to! You’re due for a break and some good luck, absolutely. ❤️❤️❤️

Love your videos so much. So sorry you have to go thru all this. You’re so brave & courageous. How difficult to make these decisions. Hope this all works out for you. Glad you have these friends to help you. I’m older. No money for tiny house. Will be stuck with apts for life. Know this. Plus & minus to everything. You’re such a lovely person. Deliverance. Woow.
