I had the coil for years with no issues and then I had my last one done in 2019 and I got Sepsis from it a week later … so scary! The dr put a partition around me and took it straight out there and then after getting my bloods back … all this happened while still in the corridor waiting for a bed as it was bedlam! Have to say as someone who has used a period tracker app its worked great for me for 6 years in not getting pregnant and then getting pregnant twice when I decided to. Never heard of the rhythm method though at 36. I must say though i wonder how commited to the app i would of been as a more impulsive younger person and i feel your partners commitment to either wanting to be pregnant or not and following the app seems really important. X

AI cannot ever replace a sensitive, responsive human approach to nurturing a child. I’m 47, my last 2 years of school reports we had to choose from a set of 4 or 5 answers that we felt most sounded like ourselves, all students received the generic sentences, all reports obviously were similar and each report had one sentence from our form tutor who only saw us for 5 minutes each morning for registration,,, not much seems different with AI really? Believe me it’s far better to have the coil put in without Anesthetic ( I’ve never had children) than have numbing which they did once with me. They injected my Cervix with numbing and it nearly sent me through the roof… It was terrible, if you can get through period cramps then you can have the foil fitted. It worked well for me and had no negative side effects.
