Jason and Danielle when you do the Electrical for your home just remember run 12/2 or 12/3 romek or if your going to run Condo or flex pipe it in your walls.Make sure it's bigger than it needs to be.Because if you ever need to run an extra circuit for anything in your garage your home anywhere outside you can actually pull it through that conduit or flex pipe.. Jason I will always say your building skills are off the chain buddy been watching you building for so many years and they come out amazing and I will always thank Danielle for her being amazing nurse and helping people .me and my wife Elizabeth will always watch our videos no matter what you put on all the channels .

If you do the original work yourself and years down the road something needs a repair, you also know how the work was done so you're the expert on fixing it. Stuff is prone to break over time no matter who does the initial work. One hint from someone who has been in a house with septic for years plus has a husband who uses lots and lots of tp, if it's just wet, put it in a trash can beside the toilet. It took about 20 years for it to happen but we got quite the blockage at the end of the pipe that empties into our septic tank so we now do this as prevention to reduce the likelihood of it happening again. It's a trick I learned from my parents with their house that was not professionally built.

A MUST READ!!!! Hey guys!! A Wisconsin Green Bay Packer fan here!! I have built 3 brand new houses here in Wisconsin built by different builders in subdivision ranging in price from $220,000 to $650,000 homes and there’s always problems in every house from the foundation to plumbing, electrical, drywall to being the trim. There’s going to be problems if you’re a pro or a self doer. So to all the negative Karen’s tell them to go kick boulders with sandals on! You guys are doing great! Keep on keeping on!!!

Plumbing for laundry??? Water lines. Outside sillcocks?
@James_71Ай бұрын
Jason Bravo, you're trying to do this all yourself to save a little. I get that. But you're pouring a slab over all your plumbing if you don't get it right. If something goes wrong you will have to rip up your floor and jackhammer a huge whole to fix your plumbing. And if you don't exactly know where the problem lies, we'll thats a total remodel. It could, in the long run, cost you more than the house is worth. Anyway, good luck, and I really hope you get it right.

SH*T I hate when that happens….. AMEN 🙏 The theory of a sewer, is the solids float with the water. And then you need the fixture water to help keep the sewer line clean. that’s why you want the line to have the right slope. The water will run off and leave the solids if it has too much slope. If the line doesn’t have enough slope things hang out too long. As the line gets older it will cause problems. “Now that’s just for an example.” I’m old school and PVC lines rather than cast Iron has helped a lot of problems. People hate codes. Codes are to protect the consumer. So the work can be done as good as as been learned to work best in the past. And they do have to upgrade Codes…. Maybe you can help them with that…. 😏
@joannemays3729Ай бұрын
The thing of it is, by you doing this all on your own you’re learning valuable lessons that can help you throughout your whole life dealing with your properties no matter where you live and on top of that. you’ll know that it was done to your specification, no matter what. Some people understand what you’re doing, and others with the best of intentions don’t quite understand the process because they’re living vicariously through you. Having done many things on my own with my husband, without my husband or completely on my own, I understand, but just be cool to those that, don’t quite get it and just do your thing. it’s gonna be beautiful
@piggyspiddlesАй бұрын
Theyre a bit expensive but you could also look into macerator toilets(sp?)....they puree everything before going on down the drain. Just a thought for ya. Many will complain no matter HOW you get it done. I like the logic on the water being behind it, cause that is true. You can do it or a pro could do it, youre still at risk of something going wrong later on. It's a roll of the dice either way.

Best part of DIY. If it goes wrong? You then fix it. In the end you learn something and do it better. If you mess it up two time ok. If you mess it up three times well that just makes you st-pid and that goes clear to the bone. Now if you mess it up in different ways you should probably may want to reconsider DIY. Our homestead has the turkeys in the background also. Over time you don't hear the turkeys, ducks, chickens, peacocks and goats. Best wishes.

I’m not saying Jason is wrong with not putting a vent on the toilet I’m only saying it’s a lot easier to do the vent now with little work and it would be much better to do it now for the minimal cost.
