Direction of the magnetic field - depends of the direction of the current. Determined by the right hand rule.

A wire - current flows through it from bottom to top. The electric current produces produces a magnetic field all around the wire, which can be represented with field lines - concentric circles around the wire, closest together near the wire, as it’s where the magnetic field is the strongest.

The wire used in an electromagnet which is wrapped around an iron core must be insulated. A bare wire would cause current to pass through the core creating a short.

Magnetic field lines move from north to south, so the lines on the bottom left magnet is correct. However if you are talking about the magnetic field direction in the solenoid, it depends whether the solenoid is coiled clockwise or anticlockwise. So in this case the diagram is correct.
