Hey Dane, thanks for the cast. Couldn't you have picked a nicer replay of mine where I don't drive a humber into a mine less than a minute after it shows up? :^) Anyways since I'm on the spotlight here I'll add some insight (spoilers after the first paragraph): For starters, this build is horrible and I think I am one of the few UKF players trying to force 3-4 Australians. In fact, since the patch dropped I have been doing nothing but playing Australian and most of my matches have been 3 Australians into maybe a 4th squad or 2 pounder. It's incredibly vulnerable to LV play even with the 2 pounder since you lack snares and you need Humber/Stuart to keep you safe-ish in the midgame against 8-Rad or Wirbelwind. Whenever someone asks me how to play this BG I tell them specifically to not do what I do and to try something like 2 Australian into 2 Sections for snares and Boys. 06:25 The Humber dying to the mine and Pjäger was a serious misplay from my part. I think I was more confident about there not being a mine there because I saw flamethrower and I saw the Ppio planting the other mine (which you can see the Humber shooting at). 06:34 The 4th Australian squad is actually a misclick lol, I wanted to get 2pdr to deal with the 250s and for some safety against a potential 8-Rad push that is game-ending for Australian builds if you don't get Stuarts fast enough. 08:20 Funny that you mention Kamfrenchie being very ahead yet wasting the advantage on the Flak. I agree with this being a strange detour and if I had been in his position I would've gone for fast P3 into Armored Reserves (maybe even rushed AR for P4 while skipping P3 completely depending on how the situation develops after this point). At this moment I also realized he had a fixation with taking over my +10 fuel. I considered that as long as I could hold the bottom half of the map and keep one VP, losing the +10 temporarily wouldn't be as damaging as staying triple capped for some time. 13:45 Yep, very late Stuart but this was potentially the start of a Stuart blob. When I'm this behind as UKF, multiple Stuarts and 2pdr can actually beat P3s quite well, but only one isn't going to be enough. You can even see me queueing another Stuart at 17:08 but it gets cancelled because I realized at that moment that Kamfrenchie was so passive about taking over the South VP that I could stall for Grants. You were surprised by the decision to unlock Grants at 19:00 which is understandable since it does feel like a big gamble compared to just getting a Matilda. That was a decision I made from seeing the P3 and not any AR units (let's say P4) and I knew I could easily win against Kamfrenchie's build if I used over repair on my Grants. 19:55 Another misplay from me, vet 1 Stuart with the ability would've been enough to deal with the P3 with double 2pdr but I wasn't expecting the Pjäger to show up (which I should have). Losing both 2 pounders was unfortunate but it seems to have setup the first Grant play spectacularly since it seems that killing both of my AT guns made him confident enough for the base push with the P3 at 21:23, which was a very bad mistake on his part. Overall I'd say that this was in fact one of my less impressive matches on account of the bad mistakes I made with the Humber and AT guns. However, Kamfrenchie was too passive and I wouldn't have won this game if he had recognized how big of an advantage he had in the early game by getting either 8-Rad or fast P3. I was ready to fight it out with 4-6 Stuarts but there was an actual "lightbulb moment" in the game, which you can identify as the moment I cancel the second Stuart, when I realized that Kamfrenchie didn't have enough of an aggressive disposition to truly stop me from reaching Grants. It was the small things that added up through the game until that point: Flak Halftrack instead of 8-Rad, double Pjäger but only a single Assault Grenadier, focus on the +10 fuel instead of VP pressure, etc. Alright, thanks for the cast once again. I think this is the first time I one of my matches gets reviewed by a caster so I really appreciate you for that as well. Cheers.

I am at the moment kind of struggling with the aussies plus 2pounder atgun combo, i've had some bad rolls for bounce from pz3 iirc, so i wasn't sure whether to tech up earlier

Spoiler ahead UKF deserved the win , as Dane said he relied too long on light vehicles and early strat. But whats with the Flak 38 damage output , havent used them for a long time, but damn the damage against grants is so anemic especially when they gain veterancy and are overrepaired (31:36 and 31:46) Meanwhile Grants are doom on tracks, 2 guns and squash anything smaller than a tiger or panther. Once UKF gets those you dont need combined arms anymore, just a Grant horde with off map arty.

The grants were over-repaired that's why the first hit from the flak was so weak.

the problem is that pz3 damage wise is usually disappointing compared to earlier vehicles

Funny enough at 840+120 HP, Grants are 4 shot kills both with and without over repair if we only consider the Flak. The only thing that changes is adding an extra shot from the P3 if you're adding them into the equation: 3 Flak shots + 2 P3 shots needed for over repaired grant as opposed to 3 Flak shots + 1 P3 shot.

That's what I thought, I found it strange he kept making Pz3s against mass Grants, that's like me making riflemen to counter a flak truck... XD

True , but the issue i see is flak 38s anemic damage against grants, especially with over repair even with marders and a flak i doubt he would win, and now lelic panic nerfed tiger cost.
