I absolutely love that flourish you give to the resuming chord at 1:39. This is a fiery, demented quasi-waltz - but there's pain and longing, as well, and it makes you empathize with Cohen to an extent. That comes across very well in your performance. Bravo.

I love the quick shallow melodies. You really get a full picture of the bubbles that rise through the water as you are trapped in that madhouse. Easily one of the best parts of the soundtrack.

I like the edginess and constant agitated state of the original, but this is played cleanly and without mistakes unlike the original which has lots in if you listen carefully. Unless it's played like that on purpose of course. Based on a Scriabin etude but no where near as difficult though. Really nice sounding grand too, played beautifully, and you are beautiful. Well done!

Gary Schyman wrote the piece to sound like the pianist is struggling to play it. So I guess this is how it should sound, although it would never be perfect to Cohen as the imperfections in his rendition is what makes it perfect to him, making the song basically impossible to teach/learn. Anyhow it's a great cover, probably top two out of all covers I've seen. Personally I think it's between this one and jason_music kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZfNfptmfr18fbs

I`m not sure if this is the original arrangement, but it is definently how it is supposed to sound in my opinion, at least. The original is just too painful to listen to if you have a good ear, and a little OCD. Thank you, Salome. This is my favourite arrangement of that piece, ever! Probably played this version 200 times....

@@furkanslmz6414 Sander Cohen was an insane sadist. Anyone trapped in his web is in for a little suffering. The little moth would never have gotten it right. And his idea of perfect is probably not identical to my taste. I get it, but the original is a little like listening to a scratched record. In my opinion, Salome`s version is the best arrangement of this song i have ever heard.
