Technology has come a long way since the late 60s, so if you want your 1967, 1968, 1969 or 1970 Mustang to handle like a modern car, a Coilover system would be the way to go. That's where Total Control Products steps in with their G-Link Coilover Rear Suspension.
This system features a canted, 4-link setup with VariShocks that bolt to TCP's FAB9 housings or factory 8"/9" rear ends with at least 2-13/16" diameter axle tubes. You'll be able to adjust chassis anti-squat and optimize vehicle handling with multiple upper and lower suspension link mounting bracket positions. The upper control arms have adjustable lengths to set pinion angle and suspension preload. And the VariShock coilovers have multiple upper and lower bolt positions for ride height adjustment and the ability to increase stiffness for improved cornering or a softer ride without changing springs.

so far all I can think about is how much stronger that front mount could have been if it had a 3/8" sandwich plate on the inside to bolt through like some of the stronger drag race upper torque box brackets do

Looking to put this on my 68 fastback. How much difference on the ride between the pivotal ball over the polyurethane bushing upper and lower control arms?

Unfortunately I have not driven both so I can't say. Typically I would suggest poly for a street application.

Custom exhaust, is it still possible to go over the rearend or do you need to go with side pipes ?

A good exhaust fab shop could make over the axle pipes work.

Is your diff pointing upward in this installation? ( pinion angle is ?) Having issues with mine since my rearend is leaning backward when all is installed ( diff pointing upward) Not sure if this is normal....

I would suggest checking with the manufacturer. I would think it should but cannot say for sure as the cougar did have some small changes.

stang aholics has it for 89.00 . really disappointed it is not included in the kit. it's seems like this tool is intrigal to the proper alignment and function of the kit so why not include it?

We (TCP/Chassisworks) do not include the weld fixture in the kit, because these same kits are sold to installers that do not need a new fixture with every purchase. For single installations we offer a partial refund on the fixture when you're done using it.

What is the refund you offer for ones sent back to you?
