Some very familiar locations in this video. Winchester Cathedral also has a more recent numismatic connection as it is the last resting place of Jane Austen who is on the current £10. Also if you are in Winchester take a moment to visit the Oxfam bookshop on Parchment Street as they occasionally have a few old junk silver coins in their cabinet

@BitsAndBobsCoins your passion is exquisite it’s in your story telling and just to have a hammered coin in your hands takes you back to that time someone made it someone spent it and no matter how good or bad the coin it’s still here living history in your hand no supermarkets In medieval times so just try too think what that coin would mean back then thanks for the videos guys you are our history channel xx Royboy in Yorkshire xx

Some great locations that are indeed relevant to our coinage. I used to live in Hampshire for a few years due to a temporary job a long time ago, Fair Oak, just outside of Winchester, I used to visit Winchester and some of the other locations shown too.

I particularly liked your information on King John. I've also been to king John's castle in Limerick, the mint there can still be visited. I like the irish issues by moneyer: Willem, with the triangle design around John's portrait and moon and stars on reverse. The portrait on coins for John as Lord of Ireland are quite comical. I have a few of these penny and 1/2 penny issues. Check out Limerick castle.
