Hi Jadon. I will not be buying those coins in 2024. I already have them! LOL. I have them in my type collection. I think they are great type coins. I have been concentrating on mid-century modern cameo proofs lately. 1950 - 1970. Exactly like you mentioned. But I do concentrate on cameos and deep cameos. Every once in a while I find a deal on a pre-50 coin. I love type coins. Especially proof type coins. I do pick up MS coins on occasion. A good deal is a good deal. Good luck with your collecting in 2024.

Lol yeah! I just wish these moderns proofs had some value to them. The 1950-1970 proof cameos are definitely a great place to collect. I know many of those coins are worth a lot in deep cameo, especially in high grade. I love collecting any proofs from 1970 and earlier. They just have a much nicer look to them than the modern proofs. I hope your collecting goes well this year and thank you for the comment!:)

Forget this 69 - 70 common date stuff. I look for (what I think is) 55 - 60 in pre 1940. I would rather got non-graded vs. graded. Somebody paid the premium to get that graded, that cost is being passed on to you.
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
I agree! I would definitely stay with buying earlier proof coins. I think there is nothing wrong with buying graded coins especially if you are purchasing coins online. It’s important to make sure the coin is real and if you ever want to sell your coins, having them graded will definitely help. The coins I showed in this video definitely are a waste to get graded but older more valuable coins are definitely worth getting graded.

i only collect these for sets for my collection
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
Yes, that is fine to do. If you can find them in other peoples collections and get them for a great price then I say it’s okay to buy them. They just don’t appreciate in value overtime at all unfortunately.
@jamessteele28259 ай бұрын
I paid 7 to 8 for them in brown box etc. Close to spot. Plus they were actually not so high mintage so kind of cool to have
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
That’s a pretty good price for them. If you can get them cheap like that then they are definitely an okay option to add to your collection.

Thanks for the info , what about the companies making the new versions of morgan , peace dollars for $100, and now I see a Saint Gaudens 2024 1 oz Gold Indian Head super incuse double eagle NGC SP70 FDI for $5,995 ?? All these are like limited edition of course but this has scam written all over it to me ! Paying $6k an ounce for $2,348 gold seems like a stupid thing to do ! A company can make any coin in limited quantities and charge a higher price like it's going to be collectible , this can be done with anything!! lol Reminds me of Bitcoin which was created out of thin air !! Would love to hear everyone's opinion?

I agree with you on the modern coins being a bad investment overall. I did however buy the modern Morgan and Peace dollars from 2021 and then the proofs in 2023. I agree that it probably wasn’t the best investment but I wanted an example of each just to have in my collection. I think it’s kind of lazy for the US mint and other companies to re release older US coin designs and add a huge premium on to them. Overall, most of those coins would be a bad investment especially in the long run. Thank you for your feedback.

Only collect cool valuable coins. Eisenhower coins are cool but most are not valuable. Isn't a non valuable coin more valuable when they are in entombed in a graded PCGS slab?
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
I agree! The proof Eisenhower dollars are worth about double in PCGS holders unless you get a perfect 70. Unfortunately, it makes no sense to pay $30 to get one of these graded when they will only be worth $20 in 69 dcam. They are worth around $10-$12 ungraded I believe.
@zzyzxRDFwy159 ай бұрын
@@jadonnoble5621 My guess is that people are submitting Eisenhower Dollars for grading in hopes of getting a few at the higher grade knowing most of them likely most won't make the grade they are looking for.

Whats a good price for regular 40% halves if any1 could tell me
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
$3 a piece would be a pretty good deal right now for 40% halves.

I buy a brown box ike around $7.50 but not over that.
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
That is a good price for those. If you can get them for around melt price then you should be okay. It’s kinda sad that they aren’t worth more but most people don’t see value in proof Eisenhower dollars or Eisenhower dollars in general.
@GardenerEarthGuy9 ай бұрын
@@jadonnoble5621 I don't put much faith in modern error coins either... They get a bunch of hype, but I don't see it long run. For what people pay for modern error coins, you could buy a real coin. People need to watch out there as well. There really isn't much of long term value coming from the mint, in my opinion- quick flip, but not hold for generations as none of this current stuff will matter.
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
@@GardenerEarthGuy I agree! These modern “errors” you see on eBay and in all of the forums usually die out in value and don’t hold over time. If it’s a big enough error that PCGS and NGC attribute it then that’s different. I also agree on US mint products. Most of the coins that the US mint have made will not gain in value over time and will most likely lose value. They have also gotten so expensive that you are literally throwing your money away when purchasing coins from them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

@@jadonnoble5621 thanks for doing a video on this topic- I'm certain will give you flak, but it's what it is. I was collecting before gold and silver eagles came out- thank Reagan For that, seen things come and go, prices climb and drop, people collect and sell... It's a beautiful life. Cheers!

If it’s graded and in a slab, it doesn’t go in my stack.
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
Understandable. On coins like this I would definitely not get them graded. However, on higher end coins it is definitely worth getting them graded so you know they are authentic and can get a better idea of a numerical value of the coin.
