The best part of the song was poetry, it was written by famous poet Ahmad Fraz, he basically brought out all of the full stops of Urdu language in this poem. Urdu is already a deeply poetic language, anyone who loves Urdu poetry gets enamored by how beautifully this was written. Thanks for the reaction, I wish you could understand Urdu, English translation only scratches the surface.

why don't coke studio ever translate good [poetry accurately??? they do the 'tafseer' of it, rather than the sophistry of the actual words . like trying to gild the lily. they make things more elaborate, when the simple words are actually conveying much more!! dumb people.

Damn, after listening to this again on your reaction I realised I probably underappreciated this one. The shirt does give Spaniard vibes, I think that's the vibe they were going for in this song. Definitely Moorish vibes so this would be a nice listen in a historic Muslin Spain setting

Sir, greetings from Pakistan. A Coke Studio classic. I think it's from a motion picture soundtrack from a Pakistani movie of the 1960s. Coke Studio Season 10 took it to another level. The lyrics are simply fabulous. Sir, your reactions just further improves the overall environment. Just loved it. Ali Zafar is a superstar here in Pakistan. He is a singer as well as an actor, who has acted in movies in Pakistan as well as India. I am loving Coke Studio Season 10 and thoroughly enjoying it with yourself. the original song (which i only discovered when i searched for it on youtube after hearing this) is prettier, this version was silly (but fun + theatrical, which is Ali Zafar's specialty, and he makes good use of the Coke Studio format for this, like a musical). also, again, the English translation is truly inaccurate at times, when it could have been much more beautiful, had they translated it accurately. silly people.
