Reflecting back, wasnt that all just a really frightening time and I think we blocked out the strangeness and fear to make it through the long haul of the Pandemic. The Late Night guys made us laugh and that is priceless

Yeah, honestly, pre-pandemic I'd long fallen out of the habit of watching late night shows in general, aside from maaaaybe catching an interview here and there if it was someone I was particularly interested in, so Seth wasn't even really on my radar. Then Colbert's first quarantine episode where he was in the bath pulled me right back in, and I soon came to appreciate the similarly scrappy vibes of Seth's early (pre-attic) 2020 shows. But after a little while, it felt like Colbert was basically trying to do something as close as possible to his regular show under irregular circumstances, whereas Seth fully leaned into the chaos and let it reshape him. Nothing wrong with either of those approaches, but I guess I find Seth's take on late night hosting a little more crunchy and authentic, and I really enjoy that. Corrections feels like a natural evolution of the weird and wild running jokes from the attic days. It's an absolute gem and truly one of the highlights of my week, every week - it never misses.
