Years ago I met my male friend (single, no kids) and told I just had my baby about a week earlier. His gaze wondered confused between my baby bump and eyes and he clearly was thinking "wait..why does she still have that belly.." 😂 (Obviously the tummy does not get flat immediately after child birth but he probably didn't know that 😄)

@@dcmastermindfirst9418 not true. The intensity she conveys onscreen touches a lot of people (and might leave others unimpressed like yourself). I did not know anything about her in hunger games and was shocked to find how little actress and Katniss had in common. Her Jocelyn in hustler and her character with a personality disorder in silver linings playbook sealed the deal for me. Sure she s done movies the audience considers failed.. it S normal in an actors career . She s impressive to a large crowd though including critics

I'm not a Republican or Democrat, just a concerned American. From years of studying the way the media portrays issues it has become clear that 99% of America's "journalists" and talk-show hosts are simply propagandists for the Dem Party. That's how we got two of the most incompetent people on the planet as our president and VP. (The lib media won't show you this, but the number of idiotic statements by Biden and Harris are beyond ultra cringe.) This is because the umbrella corporation that controls the corporations that own America's media companies have actively replaced seasoned newsroom bosses with young, brainwashed liberals. The idea is to use the media to cause racial division in America, and to remove white Americans from all positions of power. South Africa has shown what happens next, but you probably don't know what happened in South Africa over the last 26 years because the liberal media do NOT want you to know what happens when race politics takes its natural course. South Africa is collapsing under the weight of extreme hyper-corruption by a one-party government that has destroyed every aspect of the economy and society -- joblessness is passing 50% and salaries can't keep up with the fast rising cost of living. The elites love this kind of chaos because they make immense profits from making deals with South Africa's hyper-corrupt government. The US is following the exact same pattern of racial politics and race-baiting. The result is one-party leadership by race-baiting racists like Lori Lightfoot, and the murderous chaos that is Chicago. But the reality is that once the Lori Lightfoots of the Dem Party are in control of all of the US, things will get a lot worse than Chicago's south side. The Dem propaganda machine controls 99% of America's media, and they are putting destructive racists like Lori Lightfoot in charge of the US.

Idk she just seems to me like she hasn’t changed much at all, despite insane amounts of stardom-like she’ll talk trash about how boring Leo DiCaprio can be, tell stories about weird totally inappropriate inside jokes, talks about what a thirsty queen she is😂✨👍🏽and never fails to take a dig at someone else or herself in a really like, seemingly genuine way. Some people change in really understandable and good ways (Tom Holland has kind of gotten his “Sea Legs” underneath him as the new face of the MCU, which is this insane commitment and pressure for someone who admittedly didn’t do drama at school, and while he’d done a handful of roles, it was honestly a catapult to the tippy top of the public eye, and it’s obviously been a real adjustment for someone who just grew up as a normal kid for the most part.) And on the other hand, some people never need to change. That’s JLaw, IMO. I hope she never changes. 😆❤️

It is such a luxury to be able to take a break! Even if you can afford to take off work for a year or so on savings, job gaps are so looked down upon that there is a constant pressure to work. I wish more jobs had sabbaticals built in - even unpaid - in which people could take a year or six months (or even 1 month) to recharge or to redirect their energies toward developing new skills or hobbies or pursuing continuing education. When I heard that Jennifer Lawrence took a break, all I could think was, "must be nice!" I love my job. I desperately want a break, though. I'm fortunate enough to have 10 days off per year, spaced out among long weekends and holidays here and there to make the time stretch, but it isn't enough. I can feel burnout starting to creep in and it scares me. I wish we had a program like FMLA, but for breaks, in which after a certain period of service, one could take a break and get to return to one's job at the end of the sabbatical. Wouldn't it be nice if average people could take breaks, not just rich and famous people?

Yeah, companies like to work folks as hard and for as long as possible. There are some European countries who have lots of breaks and paid time off, and the companies still thrive. Our culture is sick and it’s getting worse. The fact that we’re so often compared to China and their apathy for their own citizens suffering is a terrible sign. I’m currently on a long break because I have a deal worked out with my landlord. If I hadn’t taken this break, I would’ve been screwed. I went to the ER for exhaustion during work once, and I had no idea. Thought I was dying. Doctor told me it was extreme exhaustion. No job is worth that, even if you end up living in your car.
@podracer35

I read "I'm fortunate enough to have 10 days off per year" and was like "wait, that sounds like way too little," but then I thought about it and you're right. It's crazy how little time off most jobs give here in the US. I've been lucky enough to have family I'm living with since I've been unemployed throughout the pandemic. It's been a really great time to work on myself and resolve a lot of my internal issues that mess with normal life. Even though it's been good in that sense, I have a constant guilt about not working. It feels like I'm doing something immoral by taking time for myself. It's a cultural issue we have here, but it's also a systemic flaw that everyone can't have the luxury of a breather. Everything just feels too dang stressful.
