I remember binging dozens of Jennifer Lawrence interviews a few years back. She was so funny and refreshing. THEN suddenly the internet decided she was a annoying and fake and it was so sad to read the hate comments people started to leave on her interviews. I'm glad she took her time, and came back being clearly the same person as always. (But you can tell now that she's a bit hesitant in interviews still).

She’s accidentally right though haha. Tolkien never wanted LOTR to be a trilogy, he wrote it to be one book but his publishers made him do three.
@kedabro19572 жыл бұрын
I think her brain is wired to track personality, emotion, and relationships. LOTR has a lot of that, but it is definitely secondary to the adventure and the majestic landscape it takes place in. Compared to what most "normies" watch, especially women, LOTR is just a roller coaster filled with cardboard people.
@kedabro19572 жыл бұрын
I just now realized my theory doesn't make any sense, because she loves Harry Potter movies. I haven't seem those, but I imagine they have the same primary focus on thrills and setting as LOTR.
@DeadlyTinyOrc2 жыл бұрын
@@kedabro1957 none of what you say makes sense. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. J.R.R. Tolkien specifically wrote that it was in fact one book split into three publications due to restrictions and publishing concerns. There is a reason she wouldn't remember all the events in chronological order. She's a busy actress, who is soon to be a mom. She probably hasn't had the time to sit down and watch 10+ hours of film, not including the Hobbit. Nor has she had the time to sit down and read all 1200+ pages of the novels. Not including the hobbits 350 pages. Can you precisely tell me in which Hobbit film was the attack from the spiders in mirkwood? Or in which film Frodo comes face to face with Galadriel? Without googling it? Unless you made the time to consume the entirety of the single best novel to film adaptation the world has so far seen, and were able to stay awake the whole time, you probably can't remember the order of events. Also there's a perfectly acceptable reason to not remember. In the novels Tolkien states clearly that while there is a large journey to be told, there exists within it smaller adventures each worthy of their own focus. So maybe you latched on to certain stories, and perhaps certain interactions between characters but not of the Grand picture. The meaning of ones art is left to the interpretation of the consumer. Clearly Jen very much attached to the return of the king portion of the Lord of the rings. And nothing is wrong with that not indicative of gender

It's sooo nice to see Jennifer back on the film and promotional bit. I doubt she will do any more movies for a year or so but as some people have already said she will be a down to earth Mom. Her stories about how her parents raised her and her nasty brothers on a horse ranch where they weren't allowed to use the "good" saddles owned by the people who owned most of the horses is just sooo damn funny. Her Mom is just about as funny as her daughter. Anyway, hopefully Jennifer will do more movies in the future and come back on the tour so we can soak up her stories which are usually hilarious.

Something I notice: all the comments in this section are about how much we love and admire her hilarious and infectious wit that radiates joie de vivre and her brilliant talent. Yet, she has said here and there in interviews that with her outgoing, vibrant personality, she just automatically assumes and constantly fears that she is annoying people all the time, and generally just takes it for given that she is. My heart breaks a little hearing that, because someone like me can relate to that SO HARD. You've seen other people with your personality traits called "loud." You've heard them called "intense." You've heard them called "a lot." In reality, everyone may admire your natural ebullience and love you for it, but even if they tell you this, you assume they're just being kind, and can't really believe it because you've spent so much of your life trying to learn to "tone down" your voice, mannerisms, and personality. You internalize the idea that you're just an annoying person and constantly one slip of the tongue away from losing everything you hold dear. I feel that this is something that women in particular deal with (society abhors a loud woman!) and so I can't imagine what it must be like for her in the public eye like that. Personally, I love Lawrence's personality and her hilarious sense of humor through which can be glimpsed her deeply held convictions. I hope that her time off helped her reset and be happier with her god-given vivacity and brilliance. I hope she someday realizes how much people love her.
