As a German, it is both scary and dumbfounding to me, to witness the rise of fascism as we have learned *exhaustively* about in school in real time, just in a different place. This is one of the reasons why you would often hear "don't demonize Hitler and act is if he wasn't human", because he was - that means any person could, theoretically, become like this, ethics aside. The same thing holds true when it comes to Trump: yes, he is anti-democratic and a fascist, but do not forget how his propaganda machine works and THAT IT WORKS, considering it's in the realm of reality that he might actually be elected again - by other human beings! Hitler was elected too and then he made sure, that there would be nobody else to vote for. Now, I'm not calling Trump a Hitler and I will not relativize what Hitler has done, because his doing was of an individual quality like we have not seen before or after (and don't want to), but I'm talking about the mechanism of how Hitler got into a position to have done what he ultimately did.

I Live in europe, but I find Rachel Maddows' and Ari Melber's shows on MSNBC so great and factual to keep me updated on whats going on in the USA. Their reports are always clear, and very well told, with a nice pace for everyone to understand even difficult topics. Trump often reads from a teleprompter, but sometimes veers into a ramble of some kind. That's being used by some people as a way to blame only Trump. However, I think Trump's freewheel moments are usually more vague, whereas this was very clear and menacing.
