Stephen, that pause near the beginning...I felt that deeply, because it exactly captured how I've been feeling since polling ended. We are on the edge of a precipice after riding a long slippery slope downward, and I can no longer say with certainty that we are safe from falling in, nor can I see how we can climb back out of this pit. The 19th century constitution amendment created the Electoral College and since then five times, five times a candidate won the popular vote and lost the election, three of them in 19th century and two of them in the 21st century. Time to retire such old and unfair system that only causes a mess like the one we are witnessing, and finally gets to the future.

LOL that's hillarious. Look, if the Democrats and shills like Colbert were clear to go on and on about the Russiagate lies, Trumpers and shills like Bannon are clear to go on and on about their own election lies. It's about having an equal playing field at the very least. Grow up. Trump's about as bad as Clinton and Biden. Colbert's about as bad as Bannon or Tucker. And vice versa. Pick yourself up and be an adult about the 'democracy' we have in this country.

This goes way past politics, it's a decency issue, about integrity, having morals, being a good person. This is dogs#it, and his Republican allies are absolutely cowards. These idiots will speak out later, after he loses, when it's too late. Talk about a pathetic, sore loser. Great example for our youth, who are watching this happen. Sad, sad, and very sad. Ask them and goddammit, demand an answer! Because both Hillary and Biden did definitely NOT win. And than ask them why they rigged the results. Stephen has SERIOUSLY reached his limit with DT. He can’t even sit anymore...So sad it’s come to this. But Stephen is right, it’s time for Republicans to speak up against this insanity or they ARE THIS. Period.

Its WAY past time for the Republicans to speak up... they're a bunch of gutless cowards who don't care that the US is turning into a banana republic.

My sentiments as well. The fact that other Republican candidates regained positions in Senate & House, speaks volumes of Vote Electoral transparency. Also the States that got flipped has Republican Governors....for Trump to want to sue them, speaks volumes of his integrity. The citizens had enough & also rest of the world as it affects us all. I luv Stephen to say it as is.

They are afraid of the Trump base and are probably thinking forward to the 2022 mid-terms and want to keep those seats as it looks like they will regain their majority in the Senate this time and are hoping to flip Congress and they will do it by blocking Joe's agenda and then blame Joe for not getting anything done. If that sounds familiar it's because Republicans in the Senate did the same thing with Obama. We could be facing a global economic meltdown soon and Joe will have to inherit that as Obama did and if Democrats are blocked because the Senate won't pass anything that anger will arise once again and there will be a Trump 2.0 waiting in the wings to run as the GOP candidate for 2024 and he or she could be worse than Trump. You think those Trump supporters will go away quietly? No they won't. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that base will be up for grabs on the right and this where a Trump 2.0 could emerge and make Trump look pale in comparison. If Biden ignores the working class, young people and does not fix what went wrong with him losing support among blacks and Hispanics and Latinos then the danger is a Trump 2.0 could win the White House in 2024. I have no confidence in Biden even acknowledging what the Dems did wrong this time and why that landslide victory never came to pass and why the blue wave that would supposed to sweep the country never came to pass either. Remember Dems wouldn't even do an autopsy report of what went wrong in 2024 and instead blamed Russia, Jill Stein and Bernie for Hillary losing.
