I'd actually say that his clear disdain for the alternative medium showed through a time or two during this interview - and has been seen otherwise, as well. I love the man to death, and I look to him for my news first thing every day, but sometimes he likes to steam roll the guests - particularly those who don't have enough "normalized" clout. It's an unfortunate dichotomy that likely his producers strongarm him into, but he let his classic gentlemanly charm slip a couple of times here, much to my dismay.

The new sequence of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" has an episode with her and she did it all in character as Miranda. Quite amazing. I hadn't heard of her so I had to watch a couple of her shows and then go back and watch the Seinfeld again. She is impressive. Not sure if I like her show, but she is very good at what she does. You could see Seinfeld getting more and more confused, until he just gave up and went with it.

Comedians in cars is where i discovered (and hated) Miranda also. I looked into Miranda and found Colleen and that hatred turned to respect when I learned it was a character that she did, because of how well she did that character. Jerry requested that she come at him as Miranda at full power for the CIC clip and I believe the same for her tonight show appearance. The tonight show bit was a little harder for her to get into but once she did she was great.

yes, obviously as a host/interviewer it's your job to set it up for the audience, but it seems he needs clarification over and over again, which was just a bit tiresome/surprising since he, himself, attained stardom by portraying a fictionalized character/caricature (the difference in his case being that it was primarily in the context of one particular show).. i'm chalking it up to it being a pretty monumental news day that day and he most likely didn't have the time to do a lot of prepping for his second tier guests that night.
