@John Stephens You're entitled to your opinion, but this show is uniniversally considered by comedians and pretty much everybody to have the best writers in the history of talk shows, so it seems that either you're the oddball or, more likely, just a troll who has to criticize others in order to pretend to be superior. If you don't like it, stop watching! And please... stop commenting.

Dumb comment. If you know of Asian comedians, share the names and promote them. Don’t try to just tell dry bar to search out talent where you can identify with the performer. You should be like “this guy is hilarious! “ I don’t see how it connects to anything ethnic.
@conancat3 жыл бұрын
@@sciencenate dumb comment. If I already know the particular Asian comedians then they are the Asian representation already. Wanting to have more representation is a different demand from having existing representation being featured again. Fumi's jokes are self-evidently racialized, Fumi's life experiences living as an Asian person allows him to write these racialized jokes. What is it about his jokes that you cannot "see how it connect to anything ethnic"?

I felt lightning bolts when you told your Megan joke. I'm Korean, adopted as an infant, raised by white people in Maryland. I was also one of a handful of Asians in my town (even less representation in my family) and I finally confessed to my crush for the previous 5 years in high school. He was the only Asian guy in my class and I had been crushing on him since I was 11. Then he straight up told me HE'S ONLY INTO WHITE GIRLS. That was it. The F*CK? I can still feel the heartcrush for my younger self. *sigh* Anyway, I just thought your joke was a hilarious anti-thetical version of my own. * PS: he's married to a nice white lady now >.
