I must say I always welcome more of these information comedy shows. John Oliver, Samantha bee, now hasan, the daily show-this is a great way to educate people and keep them engaged. It also helps that everyone involved in these shows is both incredible funny and talented and dedicated to accuracy and fact checking. Comedians are now doing some pretty impressive journalism/education. I know so many people who are more informed about issues and the world because of these people. Hassan’s show is very good too. I love that each show has a host from a different background because I’ve found it incredibly informative hearing from a different perspective. I’m a white guy from the south-as much as I want and try to understand and support diverse people, I will never know their experiences firsthand.

Hasan is right. I might laugh occasionally when I watch Colbert. I laugh AND LEARN so much when I watch Hasan's Patriot Act. The amount of research and graphical presentation breakdown that goes into each episode is astounding. Stephen, all your episodes combined can't compare (in terms of all the laughs and education I get). It's just shitting on Trump - stuff we already know. I always thought Colbert was a great witty comedian. But he is nothing compared to Minhaj.

Nika Curtis They have very different shows. The Patriot Act is not a talk show nor is it a news satire show like the Daily Show. Hasan takes big social or political issues once a week and addresses current events about these issues but also gives a fair amount of historical perspective, too. Colbert does a more traditional daily late night talk show where he interviews guests and starts off with a current events comedy monologue. And, Hasan does occasionally mention Trump, he just doesn’t say his name. But, yes, it has been a criticism of night time talk shows that they talk too much about Trump. Except, he is the President, and he does something crazy nearly everyday, sometimes multiple crazy things in one day, and while some of these things he says or does are just embarrassing or bizarre, many of his actions have a serious impact on people’s lives.

Adrienne Allen It’s not just about his payment amount, it’s concerning because of the fact that he tried so hard to hide them. Not to mention, if he has dealings with Russia and China those will be a big boost for Mueller as well. In short, his taxes matter.

I love him but one mistake he's not the first late nights host with brown skin - there was Arsenio Hall

By brown I think he meant South Asian- Indian. That's how he uses it on his show. While Arsenio Hall is literally brown skin I guess folks would say Black instead.
