Supposedly Paul McCartney died in 1966 and they replaced him with William Shears Campbell, a Paul McCartney look-alike who won a Paul McCartney look-alike contest back in 1966. And when I said it's good the man is alive and not really dead I was just kidding around figuring you would know all about the hoax. And Billy Shears of course is the lead singer of the fictitious band Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band that the Beatles recorded by the name Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I've loved the guy as well since 1964 (I'm an original Beatlemaniac in my early 60s!) but he's not as honest as you think he is. I am NOT trying to put him down because like all original Beatlemaniacs, to me he's like a brother that I've never met. Unless you grew up while the Beatles were together you can never really know the depth of feeling we had, and still have, for those guys. Paul does tend to revise history to make himself look even better than he is. He doesn't have to lie to make himself look good because he is a generally very nice person and he's given the world more happiness than probably anyone else in the 20th century but, for some reason, he stretches the truth a lot. Maybe it's insecurity or maybe his ego is bigger than most and all the great things he's done aren't enough in his own mind. I think it may be both but who knows? In the end, I think that of all four of them, he's handled his fame the best and has managed to stay relatively more mentally healthy and level headed than the other three but he's not the blameless angel that a lot of people make him out to be. I would say these same kind of things about my real brother if necessary but I still love the guy.

Band on the run.! How do you even begin to write such a beautiful fantastic memorable song.. He is still a down to earth person so lovely to listen to his ordinariness even though his writing and musicianship is extraordinary. I'm not a person to ever be in awe of anyone. My father used to tell us' Don't make little God's of anyone ' but he has come close for me. Thank you for the music and memories Paul.

I wonder how many young people were introduced to Paul McCartney through this particular show. I remember when he played the half time show at the Super Bowl in 2005 and some people were asking, "Who is that guy?" And I was like, "How can you not know Paul McCartney of the Beatles, greatest Band in history?" We have to treasure the music they gave us.

Being just a 20 year old, I feel so lucky to be alive at the same time Paul and Ringo (well even George before 2001) exist, and hear all these conversations in almost real time, all their thoughts, their humor that’s still the same, their voices, Ringo and his obsession with peace and love and emojis lmao it’s just a blessing. Dude you are trying to apply JPM's personality on "Sir Paul" (William). It doesn't work. Real Paul could described that way, but not cold, lying, arrogant and in love with himself William. William is a very good example of a "LOOK AT ME" person. The "failed musician" that replaced JPM late 1966 cannot stand that most fans would choose real Paul over him in a heartbeat once the truth is out.

steven hit the nail on the head with his question and how songs are part of our lives and moments of our lives. Music is there for our best times and is also there to help carry us through our worst. I read a story once that paul was stopped at some middle of nowhere has station by some fans who recognized him. He took the time to talk to them and take photos then was on his way in his pickup truck. Such a gift to music and humanity.

Energies, their flow, create reciprocated emotions. It is not a one-way street. What you give you will receive so, give it your all for that universal well being flow of good. And realize deeply, the magnitude of energy this man has contributed/fed to the entire world. It is a lifeline ... we all feed one another. I recall how powerful it was to hear him sing "Yesterday" then all joined in ... it was the equivalent of universal electricity, transcending, elevating ... the kind that could change the world if we could just harness those fleeting moments to retain the power. May he live to at least a 100 in the good shape he still is in. God bless you, Sir Paul McCartney. I forever, thank you.
