I was so touched when he spoke of the things that he remembered about his dad, that he had repressed, because of experiencing fatherhood with Wyatt. Also, that was so sweet when he shared how Wyatt loves to touch that painting of his mom, and dad, that his mom painted. @Alternative Headlines It would benefit you and all of the people in your life if you expanded your capacity for empathy and tolerance. It would certainly benefit society at large if bigotry was socially unacceptable. We're getting there at a snail's pace, but conservatives tend to react to these changes with stubborn and unreasonable fear. That's how fascist movements gain a foothold, as a reaction to cultural progress. For your information, the Patriarchy is also abusive to _men_ and is hardly worth this knee-jerk defensiveness. Feminist activists are working to make _your_ lives better too, so that men are not treated as expendable or valued only for their ability to provide income. Feminists changed the family court system so that fathers' rights are recognized and fathers are now often getting joint custody of their children. Your remark that more gay men means more lesbians makes no sense to me, but regardless you have nothing to fear from gay people living openly instead of remaining closeted. Women are not a commodity, so don't trouble yourself about scarcity.

I just love and admire Anderson in so many ways. I would love to have him as a son and what a lucky boy his son is. I am really sad for the sad losses Anderson has had in his life . My last lost was my darling husband of 58 years of marriage . It has been 14 months now and I still suffer badly. Anderson must feel the same with the last loss of his darling mother. I’m sure his darling baby boy helps a lot. Bless you both. xx

Anderson and Stephen did an interview with each other a few years back about coping with grief. It is beautiful and heartwrenching at the same time.

I lost my dad when I was 4. He was abusive and left and I 100% feel that holiday sentiment like they are just dates to me especially fathers day. It doesn't even register with me.

Imagine that thinking your dad is dead, then you spend the last day's of thier life rekindling. Then your own kid's thinking, that's how you would treat me? No, because you have no idea what transpired before you're awaking. So you can just love them unconditionally instead;& embrace the moments you have left.

Such a perfect yet unbearable description of your life without a father on Father’s Day and other holidays, and how no one even really thought about it nor could they possibly understand it unless they, too, experienced such a powerful loss. Anderson Cooper I am probably not the only person listening in that really appreciates you speaking publicly about what it was like, putting it all into words, describing what it was like going through the same things as I also did, when my amazingly loving Dad died when I was ten.
