I know it's been a long time since you commented but in regard to your question, when the colchester lathe company closed its factory in colchester 30 years ago, Production of the smaller machines was moved to Harrison lathe company in Yorkshire, I'm guessing that's where the video is being filmed. The Production of the 2 big machines the mastiff and magnum was moved to a firm in the Czech Republic. I know this as my dad worked for colchester for years and went to Harrison and the Czech firm in his last year working there in about 1992/93. I believe they have now both pretty much gone and the machines are now built in China.

its ok the chuck is running in reverse lol, lets be honest it could be a clip on tie, get yanked off before anything serious went wrong, and he is only talking about it, i can bet he's not an operator
