Baby girl to help with the nervousness be more prepared. You sound unsure. This may not be for everyone. When I have to deal with clients I take the mindset “ain’t nobody whooping no ass over here”. It helps me get myself centered. From there I treat and talk to people the way I want them to interact with me. I am kind and confident even if every interaction is not a success I can say I did my best!

Did you have drivers while you were cold calling? If so, do you use the load boards to get them work as well as call and try to build relationships with shippers?

At that point I was dispatching for 3 companies. The with trying to build relationships with Shippers from the loads I would dispatch for, is that it would ruin the relationship with the broker on my carriers end, I didn't think it was worth it going at it that route.

Honestly I didn't get not 1 of my customers from cold calling. I had to get out and meet them face to face. Cold calling helped me get over my shyness though.
