I arrived in Aussie from NZ in 1979, I was 17 years old Gee Whiz what a great time to be a teenager living in Brisbane. Cold Chisel was and still is the best band alive. The kids in those days were awesome. This song my baby is one of their best. The girls on the GC are still hot......

I always believe Ian Mosse's voice is exceptional, accurate high notes and melodic. His voice can move around beautifully, his singing of the bow river song is emotional and passionate, 44 years on and Ian Mosse's voice is still strong.

What strikes me is how shy and bashful the kids look. We were not used to living our lives in 24 hour video mode then. Makes me somehow sad that we have lost something and we will never get it back.

This track is soooo smooth. And it swings. Joe Camilleri's sax takes it to another level. A simple tune with simple lyrics; yet it floats so beautifully. Ian Moss' soul/blues vocals are the crowning glory of this most satisfying piece of work. Phil Small hit the nail on the head. Vale Steve Prestwich.

I agree with Alan Burge. Raw. Such an amazing Aussie band and one of my favorites. I have a real love for the rawness of Aussie movies and music. Look at the classics of Strictly Ballroom, David Bowie s, 'Let's Dance', Original Mad Max, The Castle, Ac/Dc before moving to UK. Also think about The Models, and so many bands in that era. I was fortunate to see AC/DC in late 90's. Best band I have seen. Cherished for a lifetime🥰. I keep0coming back to this era because music soon changed to the MP3 format before we knew it. No one really follows artists any more because there is little connection with the swipe left/right approach. I am involved in start up I will not promote at this time as we are early stage and not appropriate. We are bringing the vinyl experience back. I'll let you know more when we get there.🙏. It's not that far away.
