As someone who grew up in South Dakota where gambling laws and regulations are way more relaxed, I can confirm that all bars and gas stations have the digital poker/gambling machines that they’re talking about in Australia. The amount of people out in South Dakota who you’ll see spend they’re whole weekend in a darkly lit room at a gas station just gambling on a little CRT tv is insane.
@ItSkramztime7 ай бұрын
Bro if you wanna get more sad... that's been slowly happening to rural areas of central Illinois for years now. Areas I once loved to drive through I avoid now because it's just eyesore after eyesore of these little haphazard shacks covered in stucco with gaudy neon colored flags with "SLOTS!" in bold just lining the main roads. Utterly destroys the character of these little villages and ruins the financial stability of people who are usually old, retired, and on limited income, or young people with few prospects that get further sucked into the life of a perpetual debtor. It makes me even more sick that they are in almost every single gas station too, like you mentioned. The one by my house is charming, with it's dingy rundown strip club constantly advertising their garbage steaks directly behind the rundown casino that happens to also sell gasoline and snacks.
@TheInteggy7 ай бұрын

I’m trying to picture an Australian Hasan. Considering how much he loves VB, he’d be a bricklayer with a beer gut from Coburg, probably. Smokes a pack a day. Has 4 kids, and they all hate him. Obviously divorced, so he’s on his divorced dad arc. That’s how he became a Twitch streamer. Edit: oh my lord. He takes off his high vis sweater to show he’s wearing a Magpies jersey, I CALLED IT! Everything I said above is even more valid. Except he certainly does meth too.

For the record integrating special needs students in school is absolutely scientific. Every study and piece of evidence shows its better for the students. It's just opposed by non-special needs students' families (and teachers) not wanting them to be in the classes.

I've lived in the mountains in norway where there a loads of bears. Hasan could absolutely vibe with a bear so long as they didn't meet while the bear had cubs or was just coming out of hibernation. Loads of people make friend with bears.
