I am formulating recipes and for damaged/frizzy hair I have a 7% superfat with oils/butters to help lay down that frizz. I also use our fresh goat milk....maybe I don't need that high of superfat? My other bar I formulated at 3% for curly hair for bounce. I guess I just need to try it! ~jc

For shampoo bars do I need a conditioning bar too? Does it matter if I use FO or Essential Oils? I'm so very grateful that I found you! I've been making cp soap but this is my first try at Shampoo bars. I'm blonde and have to be careful what I put on my hair. I really want to do the Lavender Rosemary:)

Thank you for sharing, when you mentioned the amounts of oil used one of the amounts was 18.6 oz coconut oil the other was 18.06 oz palm oil I’m new to soap making and realize the amount need to add up. Should that be 18.60 for both oils? Thank you in advance for your help.

Such a great video! Thank you for posting. Im trying to learn more about using a shampoo bar as apposed to store bought shampoo and conditioner. Some people say you need to do a vinegar rinse after using a shampoo bar. Would you recommend something Iike that after using your bars? Any info would be really appreciated, you sound like you have been doing this for a while.

I wonder if this recipe is good for curly thick hair. I only wash my hair once a week so by that time it is oily but I don’t have oily hair. I only have avocado butter, mango butter & Shea butter castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil & almond oil.. also rosemary, tea tree, lavender, & grapefruit essential oil. I hope that’s a good recipe but idk

I love using acv...many people use it as a rinse after shampooing but I like to ad it straight to the shampoo bar...look up acv properties for hair
@AliyaGurl3 жыл бұрын
I believe it Alters the PH I've seen people add it then stick dip test ths ph and add ACV to reduce it down if needed and they didnt add anything else just mixed it in little by little until PH was where they wanted it x

it looks very nice but i have never used soap as shampoo bars. does it dry the hair?
@anacampos5090 Жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't dry your hair. I was skeptical about shampoo bars and finally decided to try them on December. It's been a month and my hair looks and feels amazing, shiny and healthy. It isn't dry at all. The only thing is that I use regular conditioner because I don't like how the conditioner bar leaves my hair. But the shampoo bars are amazing. Now I'm looking for a way to make my own, because shopping them are actually expensive. About $20 per bar.

@@tigerflysoapco.8350 Hi Carrie, I sent the screenshot to your Carrie Luckel FB messenger. Sorry, that's the only one I could find. SF% and water% are the same as yours as is everything else, that's why I was stumped :) I think I'll stay with the 18.06 oz. for coconut oil and palm as the lye amount is correct. It's just the water amount that's about 2 oz. more. Thanks for getting back to me. Hope you had a great day :)
