Its good to see that things don't always go perfectly for you and you can make little mistakes too! Putting the goose in the wrong way made me laugh. I was wondering at the beginning why your concept showed a different moon than the thumbnail. And you almost forgot the fragrance oil too!!! It happens to the best of us. As usual, the end result is just PHENOMENAL though!

Of course u won! Girl, u are the Vincent Van Gogh of soap making! Ur amazing the way ur mind works is amazing! I wish I could do that but I’m dyslexic and it’s impossible for me to construct something like this in my head especially when ur actually making the to of the soap at the bottom of the soap mold so ur making it upside down. I can’t wrap my head around that. U truly have a gift!

Lisa, I love the design of this soap. Thank you for leaving in the not perfect goose in moon and the part where you almost forgot the fragrance. It makes me feel better about the mistakes I make when soaping. And that is ok to just adapt when things aren't perfect. You are the most amazing and knowledgeable soaper I watch. Thank you for always teaching and making the rest of us better soapers. You lead by example. All the best, Janet (Congrats on your award)

Here’s a bit of ignorance from a non maker… can moulds be ‘greased’ like baking pans? Would it make un-moulding easier? I love your videos. They’re always so creative and high quality ❣️
@IDreamInSoap
@IDreamInSoap 3 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent question, greasing them wouldn't work because soap is made from oil, the lye consumes all the oil to turn it into soap, so anything you greased your mould with would just turn into soap too.

@IDreamInSoap
@IDreamInSoap 3 жыл бұрын
@@ratchelmcmahon9175 Hmm I'm not sure, the problem that may occur is what's in those as all of our soaps have to go through a cosmetic safety assessment to be approved. Soap as a whole doesn't really stick to moulds as long as it's set up enough. With this one it was just me working out the best way to unmould it

Lisa I love this. I’m in the process of placing an order on your website. I’m ordering your large extruder and all the pieces. What kind of extruder do you use for the small ones. I want to order your small pieces but I need the extruder too 🤣
@IDreamInSoap
@IDreamInSoap 2 жыл бұрын
Ooh excellent. For a small extruder I use and love the FIMO professional, it's great quality and takes the 23mm size discs, but the problem with it is that it can be quite hard to find. Most others like the Makins, Walnut Hollow and all the ones you see on Amazon are pretty similar, they all take the 18mm discs, which is OK, but it does limit the designs you can do. Walnut hollow does do an extender cap that allows you to use slighlty larger discs (24mm). The Large extruder that I use comes with an adapter disc that allows you to use smaller discs in it as well, so it does give options and in a push you can get by with not having a 'small extruder' but if you do want to extrude small things not in large quantities it is handy to have a small extruder as well rather than getting the large one out and filling with a lot of soap dough each time.

Hi Esther, I do several sizes. Can you check the size of your s as 14cm would be huge, actually far wider than a bar of soap. Most extruders in the US (I sell hundreds of discs to the US) have discs that are either 18mm (makings, Walnut hollow, lots of the cheaper extruders from Amazon). The Fimo professional has 23mm and the Walnut hollow extender is 24mm. On top of that I do discs for my large extruder gun which are 57mm. I think maybe you mean 14mm, if so, I haven't seen an extruder that small and no-one has ever requested discs that small, but if that is it's size, then no I'm afraid I don't have them that small.
