In this cold process soap-making tutorial, I show you how to make a tornado swirl soap. The swirl uses a combination of techniques that you may have seen or even used yourself, but just done in a slightly different way to get the tornado swirl effect in the soap.
This soap will be for sale in my shop as soon as my cosmetic safety assessment comes through, in the meantime why not have a look at some of the soaps that are already for sale, you're likely to see some that have featured on other youtube videos:
www.idreaminsoap.co.uk/
I try to give lots of hints and tips in all of my videos, so hopefully, you can use some of the techniques in this cold process soap-making tutorial in your own soap-making.
I hope you enjoy the video. I'd love it if you would give me a thumbs up, subscribe to my channel, and ring the notification bell. This helps me to grow my channel. If you have any comments or questions please leave them in the comment section below and I will get back to you.

Disclaimer
Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. The information given is based on what works for me, however, there are lots of variables associated with cold process soap making and I therefore, take no responsibility for the results achieved when using the techniques or methods explained in these tutorials. Cold process soap involves the necessary use of sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a very dangerous substance. Before attempting and cold process soap making you should ensure you are fully aware of the lye safety procedures and always wear the correct safety equipment when making soap.

Hi Everyone. I hope everyone's well and looking forward to the weekend. This is a 'sort of' new swirl, well more like some existing things done a little differently. I hope you enjoy it.

Wow just wow, how you can see what you want and do it is beyond me. This reminds me of driving home from a trip to Florida and it was as the sun was setting there were 3 pink tornadoes in the sky. They were so beautiful that I pulled over to take a picture and couldn't find my camera for the life of me. It was before cell phones that took pictures.

The swirl design reminds me of the ultra-thin line swirl soap challenge back in September, 2020. This method allows the colored lines/stripes to go all the way through every single bar, which is brilliant! I love that you're always trying new ways of creating, which is very inspiring!

Terrific sort of new design Lisa !! I like it a lot ! I see you have the same issue as I do with the Cheshire Cat tool. I’m thinking to make an adjustment wheel to allow me to adjust the angle of the mold as I need. I’m not keen to hold the mold in my wobbly old hands, or rely or the little pins on the tool. It’s a thought at this point. Anyway great job again! Love your work ! Cheers Mike
@IDreamInSoap

Thanks so much Mike. I do like the Cheshire Cat, I only put one of the pins in so I can adjust it easily if I need too, but it can still be a bit tricky at the point when you have a mould full of soap and you're trying to alter it just a little bit

An excellent video not rushed so easier to grasp what you were doing. I was most interested in making the log roll narrower, because they mainly seem to produce wider bars. Using core flute what a great idea it’s very affordable, but not seeing the soap come out of the mould would have been helpful, did it cause any problem? Would love to know thank you
@IDreamInSoap

Hi Tassie Girl, no problem at all, in fact the side with the core flute actually comes out easier as you take it out with that still on the soap, then lift it of afterwards, it comes off with no problem

Your videos are so informative. When you cpop your soap, how hot does the soap get? Do you ever get cracks on the top?
@IDreamInSoap
@IDreamInSoap 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy. I'm not 100% sure as I don't take their temperature, they would just get as hot as a soap gets when it goes through gel phase, the oven won't add any heat to the soap, just force it to gel. Any soap with more water will get hotter, as I do quite a big water discount there is more chance my soap won't gel, or may partial gel, so I CPOP it to make sure it does. If you cover your soap, so the top doesn't dry out that helps minimise cracks, also if you are uing a lot of high sugar ingredients, milk, honey beer etc those can all cause extra heat and possible cracks

Hi, I'm afraid not and it's such a shame, the EU regulation make it illegal for anyone who does not have a responsible person who actually lives in the EU (someone responsible for their recipe, writing their labels and registering everything on the EU cosmetic portal) to sell soap to the EU. At them moment it's just me, so I can realistically only make enough soap for my website I'm afraid.
