Great review! I modify Everything to suit my needs and fitment, so this really opens up this cane for personal use. Thanks again!

I have and I gotta tell you, I'm IMPRESSED at what the head of that cane does to that ice!!! Never thought of that! It's a little too long for me so I'll have to cut it down and put a rubber stopper on it too but bro, watching your video just made me like my cane all the more lol!

I was looking for a cane like this before it came out as I had seen Eastern European shepherd canes of this design. To “soften” the weapons look, they painted theirs bright colors or painted the ax portion like a Scottish terrier head or the pike end like a bird with its tail flared (ax end).

I rather like that. It'd help make it look more disarming.

im disabled and use a cane and wheelchair daily . i have a few canes, but i had to have this badboy ! my EDC and CCW is the USPc 45 (sidearm), g19 BUG, cs mace, 4" cs ti-lyte, surefire LE and ex. mags, carried in maxpedition gtg . this cane will be an extra layer of protection vs all those NUTS that prey on the weak and elderly , and there's a lot of "COCONUTS" out there !

Hey I'm disabled too I just can't admit it to myself. But I need a can when I go out walking cuz I got neuropathy in my feet and I fall all the time. I'm going back 6 ft 2 1/2 in. Oh not anymore. Now I'm just over 6 ft. From the wearing out on my joints of construction for 30 years. I'm a mess. Anyways that's beside the point I have to make my own canes because not tall enough. This says it's 38 in and the cain that I made is 40 in.

Thank you for posting that review. I thought that ice was an excellent test of it. Because that would be like hitting bone. And then I'm going to slam and get into the log showed how tough it really is. Too many hit soft items like even a watermelon is not that hard to break but the ice in the log definitely show off its strength

I bought this cane and really loved it. But I became aware that it would perhaps give anyone an excuse to shoot me. It’s a wonderful cane though- I would still highly recommend it for walking in the woods as it would be very effective against dogs or animals if need be. It also works well for supporting your weight.

Got one ordered to go with my blackthorn, eyed them up for long enough and now like yourself find myself suffering with facitis. £33.00 GBP can't really grumble at that price. I won't be using it to destroy any coconuts but good to know it can handle it

@@NutjobwithaMachete It's here! and I really like it as I thought I would, already had some black ferrules off amazon UK I got for the blackthorn now it's good to go. Feels fine when using no discomfort on the handle but that could change after plenty use. I think I'll use this one more when walking the dog etc, I've had a few funny looks when out with the blackthorn to me the blackthorn looks more like a deadly weapon then walking aid.

Great review. I just purchased one online tonight. I need a rubber boot / foot on mine for I need a cane daily. Could you please tell me where or how to get a rubber foot for this? Looks perfect what you have on yours.

For sure. In my case, I actually went to a pharmacy and grabbed one from there, but you can find them on Amazon and at many large box stores that sell canes or orthopedic devices (Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart and the like). I hope that helps.

Thanks a ton for this, been considering this very stick for a while. Just starting the watch, looking forward to hearing your opinion, good or bad. :D For sure, it's in competition with the Blackthorn. Edit: As a Canadian, I have to ask...does this fit the "designed or intended for use as," clause in the CCC? How defensible is an EDC axe, even if it's a walking stick?
@NutjobwithaMachete
@NutjobwithaMachete 7 жыл бұрын
Good question. I personally believe that it is intended as a cane first. However, just as with tactical pens and other items that can be use for self-defense or have self-defense as a secondary use, it would be up to the officer on scene to make that determination. That said, I walked with this for months around the city and even on campus and no-one, security, police or RCMP, even batted an eye.

what tape did you put on to prevent your hand from slipping? Can anything be used to prevent it from splintering at the tip?
@NutjobwithaMachete
@NutjobwithaMachete 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. It’s Yonex super grip finished with a little electrical tape to secure the bottom. That combination seems to keep it pretty solid. Is it splintering at the head or handle for you?

Any chance of heating that spike/pick on the front - say, putting it in boiling water - and turning it up more? Might sound crazy but I'd much prefer it looking more like a stop to keep your hand from sliding off than a means of murder and mayhem. ( though I could still use it for that, if needed )
