I love that you take the time to explain the heat-tolerance in the hands.

Thanks for picking up on that. What's too hot for one person is fine for another but your hands will take extremes of temperature much easier than other parts of your body :)

The time taken to explain the cold stones and the demo was very good and long enough to understand but not too long to loose interest. This is just to refresh my mind and has help. Enjoyed it thank you

Though I knew it wasn't right, when I saw cold stone massage I thought of Coldstone Creamery. That ice cream place where they mix it up on top of a frozen slab? 😅 Though it might be nice in the middle of summer!

When you use a combination of hot and cold stones, would you end with hot or cold per the body part/section being worked? Such as working the legs would you start hot and end cold or the opposite?
@homespabeautyАй бұрын
Personally I would take the holistic approach if I was using both & treat to the individual on the day. Warming the tissues is important with massage, so starting with some movements in the form of manual manipulation or warmer stones would be beneficial & then you could work to the specifics of the client 👍🏻

Where and how do you get your stones i love in Barbados
@homespabeauty5 жыл бұрын
You can try a local beauty supplies store because they often carry a selection of hot and cold stones. If not, try independent stone suppliers that might sell through eBay or Amazon (and check their feedback for quality) 😊

I found that wen using the boiling water from a kettle over the small stones they went cooler in a minute so no point unless it’s in a continuous heater. Thanks for the other tips 👍
@homespabeauty3 жыл бұрын
Happy to help! The smaller the surface area the quicker it cools too, so smaller stones are always quick to lose their heat 😊

As a therapist I prefer to just allow my hands to do the work they need to without anything else getting in the way. Plus, picking up the rocks and rubbing them on people while trying not to drop them was just a pain in the arse.
@homespabeauty5 жыл бұрын
@@MonsterHealthandFitness It sounds like anyone who came to you for a massage would be lucky, as you know what you like and what you don't like to perform. Everyone wants a massage from a therapist who cares, so if you make it your mission to let your hands do the work without additional tools that get in your way, I admire that you stick to your preferences :)
