Many years ago it dropped so low that the wind chill was -64° in southwestern Ohio. After a couple of days it got up to 20° and it felt like a heat wave! I'm glad I moved to Texas. I live in Carlisle Cumbria England on recycling day, every other week, I look in people's recycling bin for glass jars for homemade lemon curd, jam etc , also glass bottles to upcycle and put lights or battery candles in them

Ok -19 Celsius (rounding down after converting to understand how cold you were talking) is crazy. Especially coming from NZ where cold counts as anything below 5 Celsius (or 41 Fahrenheit).
