I've gone to university and been taught by some of these "scholar" historians, etc. They aren't necessarily brilliant or even smart. This guy has an exceptional talent for this and he's proven it in the real world (rather than academia). I take his word over an average university professor who might dispute the history of the Bible.

Disputing the Bible is always based on BIASED OPINIONS made by biased cynics. They ALWAYS ASSUME that the Bible is wrong because of their God Hatred or Christian Hatred. If you dig deep enough you will always find that they have a strong emotional neediness for a Godless universe... not UNASSUMED OBSERVATIONAL EVIDENCE.

Yeah, because he knows what he’s talking about. He’s an actual cold case homicide detective. , AND, he was a committed (his words) atheist until he was 35 so he didn’t grow up as a Christian and didn’t accept it as being true because that’s how he grew up . No , he investigated it and found it to be true ! That’s impressive.

Well, Jesus said that these signs shall follow Those who believe, but, what are the signs following Christians today and how to they measure up to the list Jesus gave us? So much of evangelism today is about filling people's heads with more of the “right” knowledge, but can leave people feeling powerless to overcome the strongholds in their lives because we’ve just presented and alternate religion rather than an alternate way of living. We must be more than a people of the “book" we must be a people of the Spirit as well, hence spirit AND truth and then these signs will follow those who truly believe. Perhaps we dismiss the things of the Spirit because we don’t really believe like we say we believe . We must learn not to lean so heavily on our own understanding, even if it’s an understanding of his Word, because we can’t even rightly understand the Word of God apart from relationship with the Spirit. Maybe Jesus wants to authenticate his messengers today by way of those signs he said would follow those who actually believe. No wonder the church lacks power when we say these gifts of the spirit were for yesterday but not today? Our theology has endorsed doubt not Faith because we have discerned his words by our flesh. It is Faith that pleases God. Not cleverly crafted arguments. People in other religions are not looking for another religion, but that which is truth. All of these religions, as j wallace says, like the Baha Faith, have some very interesting stories and philosophies. But what they lack is the authentication and the power of God to back them up and I fear that the church has just become another religion with a leader named Jesus, not with a loving heavenly Father , son and Spirit who desperately longs for us to fall in love with them.. While many believers have seen the bullet proof vest work for others. They're not quite sure it will work for them? If we are going to change the world, it's going to have to be because we both know and have experienced the power of God and his truth and we go beyond head knowledge into a heart Knowledge and actual relationship with Jesus that has determined to express our love through obedience. So what do we do with Jesus’ command to go into all the world? Cast out demons Heal the sick, raise the dead If we don't even believe that Jesus does those things today? All we have left is our understanding of a philosophy. Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. He never called us 2 find. J Warner Wallace videos so that they mightbelievve, although I think they will be valuable in evamgelism. but people want to see the gospel in action in our own lives and that will take us stepping out in obedience to see the power of God validate us as the world sees his power , love and truth demonstrated in our lives

As a society of believers, it seems that we have to spend way more time shooting down theories and criticisms of the bible than we do just teaching and learning it. I love this content. Not just Cold-case, but Frank Turek, Michael Heiser, Chuck Missler and many others who have devoted themselves to cutting out the confusion that higher criticism scoffers have caused but the truth is this. Every person on Earth knows in their heart that God is the creator but suppress The truth in unrighteousness.

That’s true my friend. If the Bible's original copy had survived, nobody could believe. Think of it. Someone would hold custody of the original copy. And alter it. And then proclaim: "You may not believe this ludicrous claim I made, but I have the original, and here's what it says. Disregard everyone else." By destroying the original, God preserved the original.

You don't need to defend the bible. If a person reads it and sees something they disagree with - they are denying themselves the opportunity to live eternally. In other words ... the arrogant are going to remain ignorant - and they will die in their sin (delusion). Those who acknowledge the authority of the Word of God - will embrace the eternal estate to establish their faith in Christ (Yáhusha). They will enter eternal paradise with confidence and joy - which is the peace of Yâhusha.

I enjoyed your video brother but would like to add a caveat pertaining to people relying on a miracle to authenticate the messenger. Messiah warned us (Matthew 12:39) that “An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign: and there shall no sign be given to it, but that of the prophet Jonas.” The following scriptures prove that the false prophet will also come with signs & wonders. Deuteronomy 13:1-5, 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Revelation 13:14, 16:14 & 19:20. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

If I may ask a question about supposed contradictons in the ressurrection narrative, it is this: when we read that the four evangelists tell the story in different ways - with contradictions in many details -- big or small, how does an murder investigator view these problems? Are contradictions like in the gospels normal in an investigation, and do they strengthen or weaken the case? Sorry for my not too good English. Knut in Norway
@charlesco7413 Жыл бұрын
I would imagine he has a video on that subject. But some contradictions are not really there. If I and a friend see 1 red and 2 blue birds, but I focus on a particular red bird that I saw, eat a snake whole. Then my friend tells you there were 3 birds and they killed a snake by pecking it to death and he never mentions the one red bird eats the snake whole. Both stories are similar and have contradictions depending on your understanding of the author's intentions. But if you combined them then you would get the entire story. Three birds fight a snake and kill it then one red bird swallows it whole, not sharing it with his blue bird friends.

Jesus the Christ is the Living Word of God made flesh. We do not have to defend the Bible which had led us to recognise and embrace this fact, but to love and FOLLOW Him in ourselves as the true self. We defend the truth of the Bible by the witness of transformed lives. Not so much as moralistic religion but more Christ centred spirituality loving God and seeking His compassion and justice in the world. Have I arrived fully in that task? No but my experience is that I am dying daily so that His I AM in me may live. Shalom and Maranatha.🙏

I loved this but also one thing Jesus talked about ALOT which I don’t see people mentioning because we are all sinners in the end in need of Jesus, is LOVE. We judge a lot and we need to discuss the times Jesus talked about loving sinners, and calling them to be with Jesus through love, as they would be open to finding out about God who died for them, because he loves them and wants to give them life, not because they will go to hell if they didn’t. This seems like a threat especially to people who are sinners as they would then accept that God hates them and continue living a sinful life because now they are not accepted by God as people tell them. But no God is the God of second chances and loves all. As Jesus sat with sinners and tax collectors, and he was called on for it, but he did it because he wanted the sinners to repent through his love for them, This is also Jesus character, he called us to follow his commandments and when asked what were they in the last supper he said to them my commandment to you is love God and love your neighbor.

There are over 150 Bible translations in the world. There appears to be a new translation once every three years, each one declaring theirs is the "best and literal translation". Which Bible? Secons, there are no "four gospels". There is ONE gospel, told by four different men. Third, you don't need to drill a hole in a tree that obviously bears good fruit. The bible is written throughout with symbolism and parables. Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 1 Tim 1:4 (KJV) To “rightly divide (separate) the word of truth” you must separate fact from fable, truth from tale, and principle from parable. 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Tim 4:4 (KJV) Example; When someone is tempted to do something that they know is wrong they have a little debate in their head and lie to themselves and make excuses to justify the action they want to take. Just like the story of Eve and the talking serpent. A talking serpent is a fable; 2 Tim 4:4 (KJV). A talking serpent symbolic of the lust of the flesh; is truth. Don’t take my word for it, or any bodies for that matter. Come to the bible (KJV) with a clean slate, and with sincere want for truth, and not to consume it upon your lusts, but that you may do true worship and obedience to God, with a repentant heart, and with reason and logic the spirit of God will teach.11 … in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 (KJV) All glory to God. Amen
@keithericksen5756 Жыл бұрын
Not sure I agree with you that the talking serpent is fable, not literal. That a slippery slope because then WHO’S to say what’s literal or symbolic? Creation story, Bahlems donkey, Noah’s arc, etc. do you see the danger in that?

Not trying to be negative. My hats off to anyone that will stand but we are not called to defend God's word. He needs no defense but we sure need his. We are only called to proclaim his word. All these debates, arguments, etc. are futile. I DONT HAVE TO PROVE GODS WORD! You're playing into Satan's hand. Notice God has never argued with the devil in the Bible? From the first account in Genesis when the adversary raises into question what God hath said with eve, our creator doesn't take part in it. The more people argue with the world... the more pull they get. You either believe or not. Your choice.

The prophets were told what and how to write scripture, 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:20-21 (KJV). The bible was not written by people of perspective, opinion, and emotion. There is a reason why Jesus is taken to the pinnacle of the temple first in Matthew and in Luke he is taken the high mountain first. There is a reason that in Matthew it says 40 days and 40 nights and in Luke it only says 40 days, there is a reason why in Luke Jesus's birth is heralded through out the land and then the family goes to their hometown and in Matthew the birth is more or less in secret and the family goes into exile. There is a reason why in Matthew "This is Jesus The King of the Jews" is written once and in Luke "This is the King of the Jews" is written in three languages. etc. etc. Amen
