From Kenya , as a Forensics and a Clergyman am impressed by this Evidence based analysis. I think this is the most beautiful speech I have ever listened to, more than Christology I studied in Theology. It's an evidence that demands a verdict. Thanks so much Mr Wallace.

Good for you. Alhamdullah Islam is less of people who are disbelievers. 😊 please follow up on how many people reverting back to Islam alhamdullah from Christianity, atheism, other religions vs the handful of people leaving Islam without any logical reason only either money or emotional reason. Also, follow up on debates between as Muslims and Christian (for example recent Daniel, jake vs Robert and Rasheed on PBD) who destroyed your fellow Christians not by muscles but by the well of Allah and the truth of Islam. My advice re-think again because life is getting nothing but shorter. If you stand in front of Allah and tell him Jesus is god what will Allah (the father) say? In John 3:17 Jesus addressing the father by he is the only true god and Jesus Christ is a messenger. That is exactly our shahada if you still remember it 😉

2 Peter 1:16-19 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Glory to Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is an excellent lecture, very persuasive. How ever, i feel like he didn't mention one of the most compelling parts of this whole argument. Just imagine, these followers of Jesus were willing to die for this lie. They were tortured, imprisoned and eventually martyred for this lie and not one recanted this lie. When i consider this fact that was also recorded, i thought to my self, it would not be unreasonable to believe that they truly believed what they had witnessed and what they were saying. Speaking for myself here, if i had heard jesus make some of the unbelievable claims that he made and witnessed some of the supernatural things he did, including raising the dead. Then it would not be difficult for me to believe that he could raise himself from the dead and had eternal life in him. They lost all fear of death so it was worth dying for if eternal life was the prize.
@johnboehmer6683
@johnboehmer6683 4 ай бұрын
He did actually mention that when he went through the list of things that left him unconvinced as an atheist. He put it that the claim is, who would actually give their life for this belief, but people do give their lives for beliefs. And there is no debate among historians and scholars that the early believers fully believed that Jesus rose from the dead, and your point further confirms that. There's one he didn't mention that has always struck me as strong as well. That is, how could Christianity have spread so unbelievably fast, especially starting in regions of the world where the overwhelming majority already had beliefs of their own in other gods? I think the answer is how we see in the book of Acts how God was moving so powerfully among the disciples in miraculous works, and nothing convinces like being able to see it for yourself, and be the beneficiary thereof.

Of the water that came from Jesus’ side, I would have thought that, as a process of crucifixion, water would develop in the lungs as a result of distention. With the held arms up and the weight of the body pulling down, you cannot use the diaphragm, leaving CO2 to accumulate in the lungs, but also fluid (water) that would normally evaporate with regular breathing. At least, that’s what I always expected, but I’m no expert on anatomy or medical sciences.

When the water comes out of the pericardium, the sack that encloses the heart, is how people who have died of a "broken heart" 💔 God loved the world so much, that he sent the Messiah, Savior, to die for ALL the sins: past, present, and future. All it takes to have eternal life is to have trust, pistis in Greek is Trust, a faith that is solely ingrained as truth, and follow Jesus Christ as the only one who can change your life. A trust in your life that by Jesus Christ the entire world changed. To deny Jesus Christ is to go against all logic.

Kids are relational. They ask about his personal life here. But if he was around them more, like a youth pastor or an old guy at church, as they got old, they would ask more gospel like quotation. Planned parenthood builds relationships with our children in elementary so the kids will trust them when they are teens.(part of their marketing plan). Because kids will build trust in adults through relationships in the everyday at this age.

Try to not to approach it as in a way to try and convince them. Instead think of it more like being in a garden... You simply just have to plant a few seeds and every once in a while you may have to water them or pull some unwanted weeds, but other than that, God does 99% of the rest of the work for you. Just, plant some seeds and have faith in him to do the rest! Not all, but many will come to the truth in their own time and in their own way. It's already in the scriptures that eventually or one day every tongue will confess that he is Lord! Just have faith and know that it will be done!.

What about Luke? Did you know he was a doctor? Yes, he was. Did he have that knowledge? You said none of them had that knowledge. Did any doctor of that first century ever study a corpse? I don't believe any of them did. The only person who I could think of after our Lord exited hell was Leonardo Da Vinci 1500 year after He was resurrected from the grave. I remember you being in court trial, where you talked about being an atheist, and you studied the the four gospels that were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Their stories are different except they all agreed with each other. One of them written that the centurion who put that spear into his lung said that He was a righteous man. We're going to see him up in heaven. The other Apostle wrote that that centurion said that He was the Son Of God. You were trying to prove that He wasn't Almighty God and instead you found our precious Saviour. Give praise to God for that. Thank you so much for accepting Him.

I teach at a Christian high school and completed my PhD coursework at Purdue University. I completed my BS in PHYSICS and CHEMISTRY at Whitworth University at the same time as Dr. Stephen Meyer did of INTELLIGENT DESIGN fame!! Especially when that man is God himself? Yes, Heaven is a specific location. Where that is no one knows. Since it existed before this universe was created, it's safe to say that it is not a part of this though. It is God that is within us, not Heaven.

And what was the impostor's motive? Why bother setting up such an elaborate scam? And isn't the whole idea anachronistic - they weren't expecting a resurrected Jesus (if they'd expected it, they wouldn't have grieved his death). How did the con man anticipate that this would work? Surely they were more likely to reject the story than believe it.

In this modern day, that same curse goes from regeneration to regeneration, more so on the activists Jews that hate Jesus Christ, Paul, the New Testament. JEWISH CURSE upon the Jewish people. Matthew 27:23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. 24) When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it]. 25) Then answered all the people, and said, HIS BLOOD [BE] ON US, and ON OUR CHILDREN. "His blood [be] on us, and on our children" These words by the Jews that had Jesus crucified became instant Prophecy. The JEW CURSE Prophecy began to be fulfilled 40 years after Jesus Christ was crucified 30 AD. , 40 years later, 70 AD (a judgment year) the Jewish Temple was leveled to the ground when Jerusalem was sieged. The Jew Prophecy "His blood be on us and our children" has been active throughout the persecutions of the Jews throughout the World, thereafter. The Inquisition, even the Holocaust, I would blame it on the Curse of the Jews that had Jesus' Blood upon their heads and their children. www.bing.com/search?pglt=41&q=the+fall+of+jerusalem+70+ad&cvid=aa7a2ba93ca647d8a76b8560d6a96080&aqs=edge.1.69i57j0l8.6172j0j1&FORM=ANAB01&PC=DCTE

Thank you I learned and enjoyed. I do have a question. How do you address the statement people often bring up that the Bible is corrupt. That the different translations are proof it is not accurate. Why do I say when they have a point?
@MastaE2288
@MastaE2288 8 ай бұрын
The fact that there are multiple translations actually defends the integrity of scripture. This is because most translations comes directly from the original and are not translations of translations. I personally gear toward the KJV, but when I study, I will read KJV along with ESV and GW to see if they align (usually they do) and get a better understanding of what is being conveyed. Spiritually speaking, the argument really is a heart problem: And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:2‭-‬4 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Matthew 17:5 KJV

@@MastaE2288I am a believer that the KJV is meant to be read as it helps us comprehend language, the importance of spellings, capitalizations, punctuation etc. but to say GOD can’t use other versions to guide someone to Christ really isn’t accurate imo.

There are different translations and there are problems with them. If you have a real concern, there are plenty of books on this. The Greek New Testament was never translated from their originals. They still have pretty solid manuscripts. The problems you are hearing about are in the late (1900 or after) English translations from Greek manuscripts. These are real problems but they are avoidable by using the Geneva or KJV. For your own sake, find out what Wescott and Hort did and why. But it is no challenge to Christianity.

@@ghostwhite1648. That is not what is being said. Wescott and Hort in the late 1800s, two spiritists, who were professors at Cambridge, decided to hide that they had heretical beliefs and retranslate the Bible from the Greek. But they didn’t use the Gk Texts which have been used since the start, they took one from the Pope’s library whose background before 1475 is unknown and another manuscript that a man said he faked (and he had some evidence). Both manuscripts had chunks of Scripture missing, which is consistent with what early gnostics did to Scripture. They also had gnostic phrases in them like “only begotten god” instead of only begotten son in John chapter one. These manuscripts which were the basis for their new translation did not agree with each other or anything else. These two con artists “sold” their new translation through deceit. Their letters to each other and their children have been published. Then Nestle in the 1900s got ecumenical. Bible translations not only were based on Wescott and Hort, but they had a committee choosing words which everyone had to agree on. On their committee were non-Christians as well as Jesuit priests. So there used to be the Douay version which lined up with Catholic theology and the Protestant versions, but now you don’t quite know what the words are. Toward the end of the 1900s another man associated with the Vatican decided people don’t need to know exactly what God said as long as they can get God’s meaning…according to them of course. For these reasons, people reading English Scripture have gone to the KJV as uncontaminated particularly if it’s a version published early, like 1901 Cambridge, or the Geneva Bible which is way before Westcott and Hort. If you read Greek, none of this is a problem for you, but if you are reading English translations, it is. There is a video called “Bridge to Babylon” and lots of reading material on this subject. The change in the words in the NT is enough to affect one’s theology. Using the Masoretic OT since about 400 AD instead of the Septuagint is also a real thing, but that would not change your theology. Apparently some years in Genesis were changed and a few prophecies where the Gentiles turned to Christ were dropped, but not all of them. Rabbinic Judaism saw that Gentiles were flocking to Jesus and dropped some of those prophecies but the one in Isaiah 9 is still there. When you compare quotes in the NT to the OT, they match pretty well with the Septuagint, but none of it changes what we believe at all, as far as I can tell. The Church of the East has always used the Septuagint and still does.

There are some versions that use supposedly ' older ' text that have the soldiers sticking Jesus with the spear BEFORE He was dead. In that way He didn't get to ' give up the ghost ' of His own accord. Which also would make the account of blood and clear fluid coming out not make sense.

As s Christian, upon acepting Jesus as my savior. Was given a gift of the Holy Ghost. Which aids me in my understanding of Gofd truth. As well seek wisdom from followers . There is no doubt that out Bible is the word of God. Within that reuth, sceuoturevdetails His death on the cross. Taking on our sins. Then after three days as fortold in the old testament as well. . Jesus rose from the dead to be our salvation. (It's called faith) for a reson. Because we believe in what we did not see. Yet know its true. Of course as scripture reads. We have doubters ,who attack our faith.. yet think, its been under attack for centures. And our God's truth has not changed. .
