You NEED to watch Delicious in Dungeon

I'd like to add that what puts Dungeon Meshi above the rest is the way they do world building. This was actually what I wished that Harry Potter spin off with the magical creatures was. It's not just about eating the monsters, it's also about their biology and their place in this world. Like do monsters eat each other to survive, or how does a living armor function. The other thing that makes it great, is the well balanced diversity of personalities the characters have. Liaos is an Otaku, but when it counts he is there to help. Marcille, is the middle-child sister of the group. She complains a lot, but can be won over. Chilchuk is the babysitter, making sure the kids stay out of danger, and will give them a firm talking to. Senshi is the lovable Uncle/Grandpa of the group that just wants them to be healthy, but hates things out of his comfort zone.

Probably the reason that Trigger went outside of their wheelhouse and did a direct adaptation was because the lead director was a huge fan of the series.

First 4 episodes are a little boring, (saving sister drama is shiiite) by it eventually centers on the character's of the group and become AMAZING ♥♥♥ Marcelle as comedic relief is FANTASTIC and so so so well written. A mix of power, vulnerability, women's sensitivities, and camaraderie plus care.

"Saving sister drama" is the whole point of the show. I don't get how you can enjoy it if you don't enjoy the whole central narrative

@@anonymouslucario285 Gladly, 95% of the show has nothing to do with the sister thingy, even the writers agree with me. They where wise enough to have only 2 episodes directly related to the sister (the two most annoying ones)
