20 years ago I was 40, and my friend had died. I was having a terrible time sleeping, and I turned on this new show. It was a mess, but I still watched. Then you finished up with Coldplay, my friend's favorite band. I cried and went to bed, and slept and dreamt of my friend at home, where he wanted to be. Thank you Jimmy and Coldplay for 20 years of sleep.

I took my daughter to the Head Full of Dreams tour. I cried with joy a few times, I think she ended up laughing at me. The only low point is they didn't play my favorite song, Speed of Sound.

This is the most creative and loving performances I’ve ever seen. The strings, vocals, video of past performances, Jimmy bringing in the fire, my own Cold Play nostalgia from 20 years ago, and the passion and love of music shared between Chris and Jimmy cannot be matched. Me too!! I am 73 years old and turned my daughter onto Coldplay some years ago. She went to see them 3 or 4 times within a few weeks 5 or 6 years ago. Then we both went to Chicago to Soldier Field to see them. We live in Indianapolis. I wanted to go see them last year at Soldier Field again but I have CRPS and am in loads of pain and wouldn't be able to walk to my seat there, let alone being able to ride for 2-1/2 hours to get to Chicago. I was so very bummed out. I so love Coldplay. They are fantastic......

I watched this show 20 years ago and tonight's show was strangely emotional to watch. 20 years ago, I was in an abusive marriage and at my lowest point. I had never heard of Coldplay before and I remember loving that performance and my husband made fun of them. I ended up leaving that marriage, opening a business, and I became a HUGE Coldplay fan. Now my kids are grown, I'm very happily remarried (15 happy years so far), and we RV full-time. I even have a Coldplay playlist! I'm honestly the happiest I've ever been! Life just goes on and sometimes you don't realize just how much has changed.

I should know this better as I'm a pianist myself, but others in the thread have identified it as a bass clarinet, which made sense to me as the sound wasn't quite the same to my ear as a sax and my half-educated idea of a bass clarinet was that it looked sax-like. Again, it's cringe that I don't know this definitively on my own, but I'm putting my faith in the consensus here. Perhaps you can point out why they're wrong?

I was 15 or 16 on vacation in dallas going to my first big computer/electronic store Comp USA. They had Coldplay Concert playing on DVD in the audio video section and I watched in aww listening to Clocks for the first time in pure surround on the first LCD Big screen id ever seen. It left a lasting impression and I still love the song to this day. It's such a Classic. This brought me back to that memory. A very happy one.

I remember being there, having a blast with Coldplay live, when Jimmy Kimmel was actually LIVE! 😂 The set list was three songs and I just showed up 30 mins before broadcast. It was a great way to start Kimmel “LIVE!” Congrats Jimmy 🎉

Coldplay is really the best band ever. Their music and lyrics …I mean, are so mature and right on point. I mean every song in the album…the music and lyrics are so well written than it never ever seems that the song is there just to NOT make it an EP and each is a masterpiece.
