What's so amazing about Coldplay is that I barely know three songs of them, never bought a record, never went to a concert. But I admire Chris Martin, so maybe one day, I will start listening to help widening my Coldplay song repertoire

Now I understand this band is extremely successful, but I remember when the first few albums were released. I remember people thinking they would be the next big rock band, to rival U2 potentially. It NEVER happened. They were content to release Coldplay type of music and as a fan of the first 4 albums, I was disappointed that Coldplay didn't release more rocking jams.

The most horrible live event experience I've ever had - not due to Coldplay, who I love, but due to NBC and Rockefeller Center planning, staff, and logistics. Fans waiting for 10+ hours could not get in and were almost stuck in a crowd crush due to zero enforcement of lines. Wish this could have gone differently today.

I still listen to the band but I understand you. The first three albums and Viva La Vida, are the best work of Coldplay.
