You are the chosen one...thousands of guys wish THEY could find and save the oldies, and get them running and driving. And you are making us all proud. Thanks and keep up the good work, we'll all be watching. Mark. U.S. 6/28/20

You’re correct, everything works, these were cars that could last for generations. Even then, we were a throw-away society! Great vid!

Hey, thanks for the note and for saying so. I agree; I just cant help thinking "Ugh, what a waste" when I see modern "street rod"-types of things. I don't care if it's "more driveable", it's ruined. All the best from me and Stella!

Rolling through old episodes again and I came upon this series. I'm especially getting a kick out of the hockey game blaring in the background. 🙂 Seriously, though - how amazing is this car?? Pretty dang much I'd say. - Ed on the Ridge

Hey ColdWarrior, Great job; had this model (1970-1982) when I was in the Virgin Islands, my brother totalled it. Just scored a 40 plymouth, suicide-doored sedan. In your video "will-it-run#2" I noticed your butterfly intake manifold heater staying up after your temp gauge was up. Make sure the bimetal coil relaxes so you don't super heat the intake. With these old mopars we need to probably get a biennial subscription for new wheel cylinders. Chyrsler 10" drums need all the help they can get. My 40 Plymouth will be a Sunday touring sedan- No interstates, nor commuter driving. The guy that showed me around my 41 Dodge (in 1970) said Walter P. Chrysler died in 1940, and these cars were at the apex of automotive engineering, combined with rock-solid materials, workmanship (nobody had dreamed up 'planned obsolescence' or bearings you couldn't lubricate) you should have zerk fittings on your water pump, brake & clutch pedals, rear leaf-spring casings (unscrew the plugs, screw in service zerks, and fill-em-up) for that Factory original Chrysler Corp. velvetty ride. Roger, the '41 Dodger~ now Rog, the P10 Cruiser.

+ROGER CLEGG Hey, thanks for the note! Thanks also for the tech tip on the heat riser, although it might just be a case of the video being edited out-of-sequence... Yeah, the brakes really require a bit of a shove, hey? They are getting better with some use, though... I am also a big fan of this era of Chrysler cars; they really were constructed of the finest materials and built very well. I hope to get my 41 Plymouth going soon, too... it's so well-made that it might only require a brake job and interior to go back on the road (and greasing all of those points, too)! Cheers from us here at CWMC...

Yeah, we gave the car a quick polish to brighten it up a bit... that's what the time lapse is at the end of this second part of the video. Yeah! The engine bay really did tidy up nicely.

Cars do tend to run after an overhaul. Dunno, maybe its just me, but the title is very misleading. Of course it will run after a comprehensive. Where's the suspense at ? Do you mean "will it still run after you've repaired it" coz your not sure of your own work ?

Hello, i have a 1941 dodge club coupe and i want to restaure this car, i have a question about the wiring harness, did you find it somewhere ready to instal or you build it yourself?? thank you.

Hi! Thanks for the note. We built the wiring harness from scratch; I don't know if they are available. All the best on your sweet Dodge!
