Cole, thanks for sharing your story. I'm a 6',1", 200 lb quadriplegic male, 55 yrs old. My injury happened when I was 19 yrs old. I was very active (motorcycles, bicycles, snow and water skiing, etc...). I went from 185 lbs. to 135 lbs. I looked pretty scary. I love your videos and honesty. Weight is something everyone struggles with in their own way. A coworker told me something years ago, "For a guy who can only move your arms, you are doing great to stay in shape" That made me realize that I need to relax about my weight and enjoy life. I stay active, we eat out more than we should, have too much popcorn at the show, but after 36 yrs of being paralyzed, I'm doing alright. I'm not as thin as I once was but I'm hanging around that 200 lb mark and that's ok with me. I totally relate with you and Charisma and all your daily struggles. Keep posting and loving your life.

I've been in a wheelchair from a spinal cord injury for 11 year's now and there are times that I have trouble accepting how I look. I, too, have had to learn to eat differently. I guess you'd say I can't get the weight off as easily as I used to. Cole, thanks for sharing your journey. It helps others like me that are also in a wheelchair.

You can try intermittent fasting, or keto, or high raw vegan. Some people do carnivore diet but on a biblical stand point it seems wrong as man kind age drastically decrease after the food, when vegetation was destroyed. But you should try to see what works for you. But fasting is very effective.

Cole, I think the way you have chosen to lose some weight is healthy & between that & your curly hair, you actually look younger. You & Charisma fit so well together! Being thin has never been a natural state for me & I hate actual diets. Being disAbled I can't exercise. I did modify my diet for my health, I don't want to be more than borderline diabetic! What helps that also helps my kidney disease so my numbers have stayed stable (for 3rd stage kidney disease) losing 20 pounds has been a bonus & I really don't feel deprived food wise because I still splurge sometimes. This is a way of eating I can live with easily. Hopefully I will continue to lose some more but I'm good where I am. Other people who think anyone can lose weight with exercise have clearly never been disAbled & it's frustrating enough without unsubstantiated &/or unsolicited advice about anything to do with anyone's disAbility when they clearly are "normies" who are clueless.

Thanks for sharing, Completely understand! Quadriplegic for 17 years and have always struggled with this! Was a runner so it was very difficult to lose that. Something you can overcome, but hard. It’s the weight, but also how weight is distributed differently in your body. I was also pregnant in the chair and had that as an added hurdle. Thank you so much for your vulnerability in sharing!

I love you two! You both are so inspirational and I definitely struggle with my body and the way it looks. I am in an electric wheelchair, I broke my foot in 2019. It’s been so hard for me to get around. I’d like to lose some weight, when I was in middle school in high school I was really skinny but I was still trying to get thinner and it didn’t matter that I was underweight according to my doctors. I still felt like I was not thin enough. i’d love to have the opportunity to meet with you two. Your story is astonishing.

My late husband that became Paraplegic at 17 and said he was told to be under weight as it was easier to transfer. Balance is the key. Jerry was the same height. Food can be an issue for many. I love you two.
