Thank you for this video. I’m currently having a hard time deciding whether to return my V2 Pro for a GPX2. I got the V2 Pro on sale for $100 which is why I tried it first. I’m like a relaxed claw/finger tip grip with 18x10 cm hands. I noticed your comment on V2 Pro as your run and gun mouse and curious why you have that opinion. Also would you still choose the GPX2 for me?

I prefer how free I felt with the viper and felt smoother (skates + motion sync maybe) but for some reason I play better on the GPX2 so I chose that. Smaller version of the GPX2 would be near perfect for me.

The GPX makes my hand cramp after about two hours. Bought the Viper V2 pro and the issue went away and it is just more comfy for my grip style which is an aggressive claw grip.

It's pretty subjective though. Varies between individuals. For e.g. I can use the GPX playing FPS games whole day (competitive CS2), and absolutely no discomfort or hand cramps at all. I use a claw grip with a much more relaxed fingers...meaning they are not super curled.

The Viper V2 on the other hand might be better if you use a fingertip grip, or if you use the claw grip with super curled fingers.

@@zanaros2606 I don't necessarily have a relaxed claw grip, I just touch the bottom tip of my palm on the mouse and use PulseFire. It has the same shape as the Viper V2 Pro and it fits me better, it makes me have more precision because it is made for that shape. of gripping the mouse, however, gpx is not good in any way of gripping the mouse, well, you can go more to the palm grip but there are better options, many friends after a while changed the gpx, I changed it a week Using it was uncomfortable, for my grip, with the pulsefire I make perfect flicks without discomfort since it is more comfortable and that is the main thing before choosing the mouse, unfortunately I did not know this before buying the gpx and selling it, I also tell you that gpx It is already being discontinued in competitive use since they are realizing the same thing I explained about how it is not good for any grip and there are better mice for that. Tenz also explains it in a video and more people, for example Shroud took out his G303 mouse with a specific shape given its grip and the most requested by his Twitch users, it is not a bad grip but there are people who integrate some grips into that mouse Since the grip is rare, and so I can spend all night explaining to you why gpx seems mediocre in its design, you have to get out of the bubble of seeing that the best mice are those occupied by the pros, I'm not saying that you are, but Most people are guided by that, it happened to me. Now I am selling the gpx and while I buy the razer viper v2 pro hyperspeed, I hope the dogle doesn't come to me given that I have seen that many people have had this happen to them hahaha.

I have both too. Mainly playing valorant on 360hz. I’ve noticed the viper v2 is noticeably smoother in game. That’s probably because it has a faster response time. It’s not a huge difference but it’s noticeable for me playing on high refresh rate. In terms of actual in game performance, I can get a better grip on the superlight because of the high hump so when it comes to precision, it’s better. Everything else is the same

I've purchased 19$ printed baseplate mod from TJ exclusives for my Viper v2 pro and it reduced the weight by WHOOPPING 10gr! Now my mouse weights 48gr and there are no structural problems or any difference in handling.

remember viper v2 pro has 8000hz chip but u need hyper speed dongle for it. However, there is no perceptible difference between 1000hz and 2000hz. more perceptible difference is between 1000hz and 8000hz as in viper.

And literally every PC stutters/lags with the 8000 hz in most games, only games supported that is valid for me is valorant. I would rather prefer 4000 hz than 8000.. which still makes razer better than logitech in terms of performance

I have 8000hz in my Deathadder V3 wired and honestly for me a competitive CS and Battlefield player, 4000hz is a sweetspot. After I tried both 1000 and 4000 I can tell that 4000hz feels a bit stable and precise while you flick your mouse hard. I haven't seen difference between 4000 and 8000 though. I've even tested 8000hz in some app and website that detects it, I flicked the mouse as hard as I could, and best results were around 5000hz, so it didn't even reach close to 8000.

I have both! I’d say that if you play palm grip go for the GPro but if you play claw or finger tip go for the viper (I play claw and something always felt a little awkward about the gpro). P.S. I might have a little bias since the scroll wheel on my gpro shit itself after 1 year of use while the razer has been going for 2 years without any hiccups. Perhaps a lemon?

Should I go for the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 or stick with my Razer Viper Ultimate? Recently I've been noticing that I am constantly trying to adjust my grip to be more comfortable and wonder if the shape on the G Pro X Superlight 2 would be better, and I do want to go for the Superlight 2 over the normal Superlight due to the optical switches, better sensor and weight.

The Viper does have a better response time. Only noticeable on very high refresh rate. 360hz or more but otherwise they’re identical. Go with the shape that suits you more

I have both and if you have baby hands then the Razer Viper V2 Pro is your best buddy. Otherwise like myself, the pros are using the GPX Superlight. Personally, I prefer the original version with mechanical switches. Keep in mind your encoder is mechanical regardless. There are a huge number of aftermarket parts and accessories for the GPX. My second choice would be the ULX large, which is a very similarly sized mouse to the GPX. The difference between 1K, 2K, 4K or a wacky 8K polling is nothing other than reduced battery life. Since most people don't have enough common sense to even turn-off mouse smoothing in Windows it really doesn't make a difference which mouse you use until you get your setup correct.

@@SpoodrMin .. I'd also consider the Finalmouse ULX medium. Some people with larger hands prefer a smaller mouse, so another factor is your grip type. I have a claw style and prefer the back of the mouse pressed into the back of my palm for added control.

I have a Viper V2 pro and have been playing (mainly apex) with it for a while. Great mouse and I love the feel but I’m going to get a super light because synapsis ( viper’s software) can make the game stutter and is honestly shit. I also have the huntsman mini from Razer but I just got a wooting 60HE so not gonna be using their products anymore.

I think the Razer Viper V2 could win with no doubt if its not claw only. I like the mouse, one of the best if not the best. But the only thing i hate about it is the shape. You can get used to it, but i tried just a cheaper mouse with a different shape, it was felt better, but the sensor was much worse. I think Razer has the best mouch tech RN

I have viper v2 pro and death adder v3 pro. I can comfortably say that the viper is a lot smoother i just can not get use to the shape of it, my hands arent big or nun but it feels uncomfortable and the death adder for me is just too big. So vioer is too small and death adder has the shape but the size is too big. Im going to try out the g pro superlight 2

@@didaka8 spec wish i feel like the viper is better, it feels more smooth/responsive. But comfort wise its the gpx 2 for me. The viper is soley meant for claw honestly due to how small and flat it is. The gpx 2 fits more grip styles. The only problem i got with the gpx 2 is the side buttons.

I know this video is old but a piece of advice is work on limiting the drop in your voice at the end of each sentence. It's painfully hard to hear the point you're making in every second sentence as you go into a below the throat/no air left in your lungs voice with so much bass in your EQ. I miss the last 2-3 words no matter how much I turn up the volume and it sounds like you're sharing some good points.

@@senorbonbon I’ve got both, my hand size is 19cm and 10cm width. I actually stopped using them and now main the lamzu maya because of the smaller size, I get easier grip on it. You can buy the super light 2 and try it to see how it compares to viper v2. Everyone has different preferences

Don't forget that brand plays a big part into it. Razer has consistently had the worst customer service I have ever dealt with on a multiple case basis from a large company. Absolutely atrocious customer service and terrible quality control (from my experience obviously).

Razer literally has the best QC among all big name gaming brands now. Razer mice have no double click issues due to optical switches, all logitech mice have double click (except superlight 2 which is optical now) Logitech customercare denied RMA on my gaming mouse claiming "double clicks are normal for a mouse"

@@goochipoochie all viper mice ive had had tracking issues within less than 6 months. Their customer service also made a mistake reading a receipt claiming my item wasnt within warranty, admitted their mistake, then continued to act like they didnt. Almost everytime ive contacted them it was an ordeal. It once took them 1-2 months to send me a replacement mouse with my money on hold then continued to take about a month to give me my refund of the hold. My most recent viper pro v2 had its reciever stop working within a week of ownership. Ive used probably around 10 viper mice of different models and its all the same. I only had to contact logitech once and that time they atleast responded more like people and were more prompt with helping me with my rma. This is only part of my experiences with razer... i hate that their viper series has the best balance between control and comfort for me. I didnt like the shape of the gpw and superlights due to the taller hump.
