Happy Birthday Chris, thats the way to celebrate a birthday lad. Your pal is right about the fast delivery of the X Mids. I sold my version 1 last week on eBay and on the night of the 8th of March i ordered the version 2 and it arrived today 14th .....mega impressed with that even though i got stung for 88 quid by Big Ears collectors. It can take that long waiting for UK companies if you order on a Friday night....by the way do you and AL text each other and ask each other what tent you are wearing this week ??? He was wearing his Lanshan this week too :)

@@MCMOutdoors No Chris i just sold the old version 1 and bought the new version of it because there are some upgrades and it's got more space. I would say as far as one man tents go this has a good amount of space . I prefer it to my Soulo for that reason and unless there are strong winds over 35/40 mph i will always choose the x mid just because it performs very well and weighs a 3rd of the hilly and it packs so small PLUS it drys mega quick whennyou get a break in the rain so really good for more than 1 nighters. Old version is 1P V1 and the new version is 1P V2, I also have the 2 person X mid as well and if i am on my own i find the foot print is massive but i mostly go to the Peak District where its better to have tents with small footprints outside of the summer months because its mostly boggy and damp unless you know where the dryer spots are. I think you will like it but do what i do and get a tape measure and some masking tape and measure out the floor plan at home, blow your sleep matt up so you can see what to expect etc ATB

My Xmid pro2 (first release) is fantastic although it has a larger footprint than my Duplex. Plus the geometry really does need as flat a pitch as possible. But it’s an absolute banger & although I bought it to decide which I’d keep, I kept both lol...! ATB mate... .Wish.

Love that part of the Lakes and a brilliant horseshoe, has to be my favourite, which I did last year and loved doing all those Fells. Happy Birthday and cannot believe you are 41....I was 68 last Sunday and I always assumed (going on looks) you were older than me! It's a right bloody slog up to Grisedale Pike and even worse coming down that way and I only had a day pack on, mind you a young un' like you should be jogging up there! Great area there to pitch and given the time of year great night and morning as well. I thought the mist was going to spoil things but great to see it clear and a free park, roast dinner and a pint - it does not get much better than that! Cheers Alan

I like the way that it's stable as soon as you put the poles in unlike the Lanshan that i have just bought before seeing this 🙄 if i got this right now i would be in the doghouse with my wife 🤣

Just got the thermarest pillow myself yet to try it out but tried all inflatable non of em cut it rather extra bulk for a decent sleep, would you rather.the Nordisk slippers.are they ok for walking around camp on grass, nice to see some budget tents there
