I love your resilience, positivity and professionalism. I watch a lot of your videos when I need some inspiration. We are experienced hikers, and only just this year moved into wild camping. You are one of the very best channels for this activity, you don’t blow your own trumpet or are patronising like some. Keep them coming, you are helping a lot of people. PS: I do however, think Blue is the better wild camper. 😂😂

Swapped the rat race down south for the Peak District. I love cycling, so I go out on my gravel bike and explore, no matter what the weather. Different experiences, I think the views are spectacular when its raining, clouds hugging the hills and gaps with a ray of sunlight shining through onto a wet road climbing up a hill. Deer leaping over high dry stone walls. You don't see that watching Netflix.

Yes I might do at some point. It’s so normal for me to see them as they are everywhere 👍
@tonyf9984 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure Al will follow this through at some point, but in the meantime look up 'drystone walls' - plenty of text, images & video available on the web. Yes, they're time-consuming to build (like a never-ending jigsaw-puzzle) but being mortar-free they shift with the ground & elements and so last for quite literally hundreds of years. There's a very old film on KZbin called 'Man of Aran' (the Aran Islands, off the west coat of Ireland),which is fascinating to watch, as it shows how such walls were built on top of huge expanses of bare rock to provide the shelter necessary to allow soil to be quite literally manufactured from sand & seaweed carried up from the shore. And wherever sections of wall have collapsed, the ferocious Atlantic wind has blown all the soil away ...!

Another great camp out there Al lad. You certainly make the most of your free time wisely and it's superbly documented pal and a pleasure to watch. I went out for a wander on Saturday on a fairly local jaunt but no wild camp but it was a covering of snow that I love as its so peaceful up there. I did pop a couple of pics of twitter. On another note, as I am a proper budget man, I currently walk in Gilert boots that state they are waterproof, they clearly aren't as they leak like a cullender. What what you recommend, my old fella reckons Brasher are a good boot leather or merralls. Some advise and maybe a model would help me if you could help in advice. I am the bloke who's sit mat is a couple of the foil backed laminate flooring underlay which actually works well so go easy on the budget boot recommendation. Cheers in advance pal and keep up the good work and never change Mr Brocolli. Atb fella
