You make it look easy I have always been scared of them and never owned one Old ones you see in those flea market stores the want way too much money or they must have a valuable one

Nice Job Craig!! We use those at the lake all the time when I was a kid and haven't seen them since! Great emergency lights they would be!!

My only gripe is that Coleman made these 285 generators unserviceable. They sell for ~$20 a piece. They could at least lower the price for us.

If you burn Colmen fuel you do not have this problem . Gasoline has all kinds of additives which build up in the generator causing this problem . Never burn old gas that is the worst thing to do . Gas has a short life span compared to Colmen fuel . Yes gas will burn but what you do not know will hurt you as you have seen .

I only burn Crown or Coleman white gas. Haven’t burned gasoline in decades, never liked the smell.
