Lucas, it says exactly that in Proverbs 22 : 6 about training your children up. I’m a firm believer that if the Bible says it we should do it. Another great video!👍🏻👍🏻

Sounds like when you buy one of these, you need to go as many of the bolts as possible, remove, Loctite, put them back and tighten them up. I'm not sure if you can find torque specs, but that would optimal. From what I'm reading this may prevent many issues that people wind up having with these.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead3 жыл бұрын
That is definitely the case. Ours is still running great after 3 months of pretty hard use, but I’ve had to work in it quite a bit.

I am a technician for a farm supply company in the Midwest that has 13 stores and sells these junky machines. Yours is not the only one that has failed as you have described. My job at the store(s) is I am a trained factory repair tech for warranty repairs on anything power equipment related that wesell from Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Cub Cadet, MTD, Honda, Generac and sadly Coleman power sports. The issue you are having is that the engine mounting bolts strip out or break at the cylinder head points and under the engine at the frame allowing the engine to rise or slant backwards causing the chain to come off breaking the VSS at the sprocket "vehicle speed sensor". This damage leaves the speedometer not working. It also sometimes breaks the welds at the muffler itself, breaking the chain cover at the engine, and in some cases locks up the units movement while in use when the chain throws that is a big safety issue. I hate dealing with Coleman for warranty claims as we are a dealer and it takes forever for them to give me an RA or repair authorization. When they rarely give a repair authorization they are out of stock for parts. In the last year + or so my store(s) have refunded or exchanged multiple units because of the engine mount failures that causes so much damage making repairs not monetarily worth it so they just credit the individual stores for loss. Coleman power sports will not get in any rush to address this issue with these units as I have tried to reach out to them about these common failures. One would think they would have their engineering techs on this issue to correct this well known problem but nothing has been done. Maybe try to return the unit to the dealer with this common fault??? Good luck to you and I hope this reply was helpful.

I appreciate the explanation! Hopefully it will give more people things to keep an eye on. I realize it isn’t a high dollar machine, but I was hoping for better quality and customer service from a well known company like Coleman.

We’ve had the same problem. They are sending new bolts, how else would you suggest repairing this so it doesn’t happen again?
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead3 жыл бұрын
@@stefmaska I installed the new bolts with loctite and haven’t had any more issues with them coming loose.

@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead any chance you know the sizes for the bolts? They lost all 4 bolts that secure the engine to the frame. I found 1 in the driveway, it doesn’t fit in the side securing hole. Seems like a different pitch than the bolt we have which fit on the bottom brackets.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead3 жыл бұрын
@@stefmaska I don’t know off hand. I usually dig around in my spare bolts and find one the right threads and then take it with me to buy extras. You might find another one on the engine you could take out and use as a gauge.

I haven't had mine one day yet and I'm starting to worry! I went to Coleman website to order an extra CVT belt for emergencies and their website didn't have it. I can't find the belt size either so I guess I'll have to crack the CVT open to see if the belt has numbers on it. 🤦

Yeah, Coleman is zero help. I’ve never gotten a response from them and I’ve spoken to dealers who say that Coleman won’t deal with them, they say they only deal directly with customers. I’m pretty disappointed in the Coleman company overall.

Aye peek I have the same atv it just cranks won’t turn over, replace carb already adjusted throttle, and fuel, you think it’s a solenoid or one of the switch sensor on the left hand
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead3 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanaguilar822 if the starter is engaging, but the engine isn’t firing, I would start with the kill switch (and possibly the tether. It will crank when the kill switch is flipped, but it won’t fire. I’ve heard those switches go bad easily. If it won’t crank at all, then I would look at the safety switches on the brake levers. It won’t crank without one of those pulled… You should also pull the spark plug and test to see if it is firing. If the plug is firing, then it is a fuel issue. Hope these help to give you some direction. Good luck!
