I had a 3fwd 1 rev 125cc engine in my last chinese quad, sold it to a friend for his sons bday. Big mistake was buying a 1fwd and 1rev geared 125cc chinese quad, super crappy takeoff and no top speed. I am buying the 3fwd 1rev 125cc engine to replace it and I cant wait it will be back in business!! I cant imagine riding any trail with that crappy 1 fwd gear ratio! you would have to back up steep hills lol, rev is the only low strong torque gear! Thanks for sharing

It's a shame you received this kind of treatment from Coleman. I have two Tao ATVs, and yes, they had problems out of the box, but after dialing them in, they have been bulletproof. It is especially rare that that motor failed. While the cheaper Chinese ATVs & motorcycles have their problems, their motors rarely fail. Good video!

Good video. I just did the same. The wiring was different colors and the harnesses were different so I swapped the charging system from old motor to new motor. I’m hoping the semi auto lasts longer with less issues. (Old magneto was 3/4 wire and the new magneto was 5 wire. Easier fix using the old parts. Using an Xpro 125 now. So he’s only been riding it a week, but he loves it. I would say it can’t be any less dependable than the original and the shifting gears in my opinion makes it way way better….
