i just did what you did on my coleman gx200 motor and you are right, it made the throttle so much easier to twist and gave it more throttle. thanks for the info man, helped me so much

Awesome. You gave me a great idea. So i wasn't able to get that particular spring but at ace hardware they had a ton to choose from and I picked one close to that. It was still just a little long so I removed a few spirals and then coaxed the end into relatively the same shape and worked perfect. Earlier in the day, because that spring wasnt there, the bike went full throttle and stuck there. Was lucky I didn't get hurt. Thanks again

Excellent info- just curious when I remove the stock spring will I have to make sure that I don’t loosen the throttle cable when I turn that screw to get it off? Does that make sense? I’m new to engines.

Man my ct100u throttle is super hard to move and it doesn’t you h the throttle screw unless I reach down and do it manually please help me with this

thanks man I just ordered the spring. I was going to do a governor delete just to get a better throttle feel but I would rather do this as I can already do 43mph all stock with just a TC lol

Yeah if you got a TC a Governor delete isn’t necessary at all. Even at 43 you probably aren’t even hitting the Governor limit. You are hitting more of a wind resistance weight/power drag at that point.

I have one that when I start it it's fine but when I lift the back of it the wheel spins and when ever I ride it the throttle stays on a little not part of the first complaint what should I do

I need help. Just bought a ct200 . put oil in. Then gas . started the bike . lwt it run on idle for a few minutes. Got on the bike and throttled and it took almost a full throttle yo start the chain pulling. And almost nothing. Literally seconds later there was whote smoke coming out of my exhaust

How do I remove the stock spring ?

Loosen the Phillips screw that is on top of the nut looking part that the cable goes through and pull the throttle cable out and you can pull it off then. Put cable back through and pull on it to take slack out and tighten Phillips screw back down.

Will this make the throttle easier to pull? I have CT100 and right out of the box it’s insanely hard to pull.

Unscrew the top screw where the spring is and take it out and screw it back without the spring

@@jacksont8760 when doing this do you need to make sure the throttle cable is tensioned correctly when you screw it back on? or is that screw not holding the cable in place like I think it is? Thanks for the help I’m trying to learn about engines lol

Tried it with the se Honda part... Throttle return was worse with the Honda spring, so I just cut 4 coils off my throttle spring, deeper / faster bike and throttle return. But thanks anyway 👍🏼

Clutch needs to be lubricated. Search on here and Coleman has a video on how to do it.

Just get a predator linkage as long as your ok with no governor
