I have one I bought in a pawn shop many years ago for about $150. At that time they were around $400 in big box stores. I think it's great. I believe it's powered by a Briggs and Stratten 4 stroke. One day after an ice storm, we were without power. Never know when that will be on again. It was morning,,,we needed our coffee. Plus my wife was getting a bit cold and wanted to watch tv for the news. It powered the coffee pot , small tv, and heating blanket for her. I froze my ass off....but no one cares about that. Cool generator.

I have to say it is an awesome generator. Lately I've been using it in my off grid property to run a power saw and a couple other items. I can't tell you. It does not like my air compressor. Every once in a while it'll kick the breaker... as always thank you so much for a comment and have an awesome week

I have to say it's been a very great generator over the years I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

I picked mine from the trash, previous owner thought the motor was seized. The pull start was broke. I have been looking for parts for it, but I can start it by manually winding rope and pull starting old style. Good generator for sure.

You got one heck of a deal on her. I am proud to say mine is still running strong. I might have to rebuild the carburetor this summer. Which is not a big deal. Yes it is made in the good old USA. As always thank you so much for your comment and have a great evening.

Seems to be a good product. Yes there is a cap/vent leakage problem, but I fixed it with an marine type cap that had a screw vent on the top of the cap; I just opened the vent on the cap up a little, and the generator just purrs for 4 hours, (heavy 1500 watt heater load) and up to almost 7.5 hours on a small refrigerator load.

Hey bob808knight. how long will a full tank of gas (1.3 gal.)? Last at full capacity? I just bought one for 20 bucks and put 80 into it to get it working
@Bob808Knight
@Bob808Knight 9 жыл бұрын
TheSinsalida you got a really good deal on that generator. On mine I had it hooked up to a refrigerator during a power outage. So the motor came on and off at random. I got close to four and a half hours of use out of the generator. But there is another option. You can always make an external fuel cell for it. what I've done for mine is used in old gas tank for a boat. hook it up to the generator and now I have in extended run time. If you do that remember to check your oil often.I hope this information helps you out. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

I have one but it stopped running after 30 min do you know why
@Bob808Knight
@Bob808Knight Жыл бұрын
Interesting. You might have to do a little diagnostic work. First take the spark plug out and hook it back up touch it again something metal and see if you're getting spark. If so next put your finger over the spark plug hole gently pull the cord and see if you got compression. If those items test positive. Next you have to look at the fuel system. Check the fuel tank and I think there's a fuel filter somewhere to make sure it's not clogged. If it's not then it's in the float bowl of the carburetor. Which means the carburetor rebuild. I found some kits online you can purchase. I'm sure you can redo it yourself. I hope this helps if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Just heads up it takes me awhile to answer the comments.

Hi Willie. I went into town to a small engine repair shop and had them order a carburetor rebuild kit for me. I think it was $15... I hope this answers your question. If you have any more please feel free to ask.

Hi Timothy. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.. I'm pretty much living off-grid right now. The only time I can get my messages when I go into town. There's no cell service where I'm at... I can't believe that generator is 30 years old. Yes it's still alive and kicking. I usually about once or twice a month. Mostly to run power tools... couple things that may be wrong with is the rubber feet have fallen off. That has happened to mine. Not a big deal if it's on concrete I roll up a couple shop towels and put on it. If it's in the grass I don't worry about it. Second thing is you might have to change the spark plug and the fuel filter... the third thing is the needle valves in the carburetor may be clogged up. When you have the choke open it doesn't idle properly. Try adding some seafoam too the fuel tank. Then run it until the fuel Runs Out. You might have to rebuild the carburetor. Hopefully they left gas in it when they stored it. If not the seals and the carburetor might leak. And of course don't forget to change the gas out. As far as the generator side. Haven't had any issues with it. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask.

Well I would like to trade you . You come live here in the city or medium sized town a suburb of Tampa FL and Ill go live off the grid . I can't as much as shoot my guns outdoors around here . All the country or rural areas on the gulf coast is being developed . As this area I am in . Is slated by our Criminal government and the Globalist . To be a mega city or region . We used to live out of the way on 2.5 acres . After my wife's mother died the property was sold and split and there was only pocket change left after everything was paid etc . So no way to buy a little piece of property afterwards . Living in a duplex apt with code enforcement up your ass and neighbors getting into your business boils by blood . And the thing is . It just keeps getting worse . As far as more regulations and nit picking laws and codes you name it . I regress . The genny I was looking atI never got to see in person . The owner messaged me . Saying he had a guy supposed to come and if the guy don't show up or want it . Then he would contact me . I have not head back from him . Ill find one thoe . Thank You for the time and reply . I hope God Blesses you and your family . Be Safe . Tim in FL

How can i use my generator for fishing.do i nid to put the wire on the DC? Positive?
@Bob808Knight
@Bob808Knight 5 жыл бұрын
I guess you could John... My biggest concern would be the vibration from the generator scaring the fish away... I need more information about your electrical question in order to answer it properly.. What would you be using it for?

@@Bob808Knight i would whant to use it to catch fish bob..i just dont know how to use it correctly.i think the dc is for charging the battery?
@Bob808Knight
@Bob808Knight 5 жыл бұрын
OK I understand what you're attempting to do... I've only done that with the DC deep cycle battery never with the generator before.. To answer your question yes use the DC battery charger output.. My only concern is the protection circuit might trip the breaker when you put the leads into the water.. Some things to consider...Check your local Local laws and make sure it's legal to do... In some States it is not.. Most important Of all please be careful As you know water electricity do not mix..

I'm not an expert John but I wouldn't go more than 20' with 12 gauge wire and make sure you use solid copper.. You will have to strip at least 1' of the shielding off of one end.. You can also use the same method to drive earthworms out of the ground.. Now I have to put out my disclaimer(This comment is for entertainment purposes only) I have a question for you... Do you have walnut trees in your country? kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2SYlqWaqcSlbac

Yes, these are for times when it's ok to shout to those around you "I'm using my portable generator", like during a power outage, or like above was said for getting electricity way off the grid. Using it camping will make everyone hate you, and even you will hate you from the noise in a quiet area.
