i scored one of these grills at a thrift store for 40 buck. This is one heck of a grill. It even came with an extra griddle that is enameled cast iron.

first off, let me say...well filmed. the shooting angles of your video, the narrative, well produced, looked professional. now on to the grill itself. couple of questions. 1) I heard comments about the grill lid not locking well and coming open during tilted transport. 2) does the grill itself attach to the base so that you can carry the entire unit as one package? or do you have to carry the base separately?
@acamilop8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice compliments. 1. We haven't had any problems with the grill becoming unlocked. We car camp with the grill and no issues. 2. The grill is just resting on the base. You have to carry the grill separately.

Sure you can go wrong. We have this grill for our RV and I rather use anything else. It cooks with only fair heat output and is a pain in the rear to clean. The only good thing is storing the griddle in our oven to use as a heat-sink. I think this grill is an anchor. Cheers,

We have one and although not perfect, it will do the job. I like that you can put a burner element on a side and use it as a stove too. Thanks for sharing.

Does the grill come with a propane tank or do you have to buy one? Also do you need to buy anything else for the propane tank ? Like a hose or does it come with everything you need to hook the propane tank up to the grill?
@acamilop3 жыл бұрын
Mine uses the small green Coleman camping gas canisters. Came with the piece to connect the canister. You can get a version that has a hose to connect to a regular sized refillable propane tank. The gas is purchased separately. I like the small canisters for camping.

I just bought this grill at a garage sale. I can't figure out how to fold it up. Can you give advise on this?

Health aspects of grilling on an aluminum grate? Especially if the grate melts? How many aluminum particles are being liberated into the food?
@acamilop5 жыл бұрын
I don't know. They sent me the cast iron grate after the aluminum one melted.

I have one issue with the grill I hope someone can help. The “plate” in the center of the grill that is directly over the flames burns the meat before the other part that is directly over the flames is done no matter how low I turn down the flames. Suggestions!
@acamilop6 жыл бұрын
I don't have that issue after three years. I would recommend contacting coleman customer service. They were great when I called them and even sent me a new grill top for free.

P Natural variations during manufacturing can easily make a grill have hot spots. Just flip and rotate your food more often.

For me.... If it dont have a pump and half way explode when lighting ,, it aint a camping trip.
@acamilop3 жыл бұрын
I was just using an old white gas coleman from 1963 on a recent camping trip. First time using it and had to pump. No explosions though.
